的律师讲从政府的角度讲续现在的签证和申请新的签证没什么太大的区别，建议用
Consular
Notification 申请今年十月开始的 H-1B 。 但在我看来是有很大的区别的，因为申请
新的 H1-B 会有 Cap 的问题，申请的人多就要抽签，抽签就有可能申请不到。
所以我在想是不是律师觉得续签证的paper work 比申请新的签证要麻烦，或者公司想
把我留在海外才提出申请新的签证，感觉申请新的签证很有风险啊，也不知道这个
Consular Notification 是个什么东东，请各位兄弟姐妹给些建议，谢谢！ |

我的个人简历：美国州立大学博士 (ranks top 50?)，辗转德州，现在西部大学博后。
文章约15篇，PNAS和JBC数篇，再加上一些co-author的文章，引用数约230 （应该是他
引，没有太纠结）。审稿24篇。没有显著媒体报道，没有奖励（有一个博后fellowship
，但听从律师建议，没有单独claim)。准备了5封推荐信 （一封现任老板，一封博士老
板，另三封独立推荐人）。claim了Contribution, publication 和 Judge。从与律师

本着和140一样的原则，我的485材料非常精简，比如身份材料，只提供了最后一次入境
美国之后的。我（主申请人）去年9月回国H1转H4，所以只提供了H4的签证复印件，以
前的H1和I20之类统统没提供。出生公证只复印了两页（中文和英文翻译），后面公证
页没
复印，因为觉得不相关。但加了一份声明（没公证），说本人懂中英文，可以证明英文
翻译是准确完全的。护照只复印了信息页和最后一次入境美国的签证（H4）。AP/EAD的
材料也非常精简，两个申请人，6份申请，加起来也就薄薄一点，不知道是不是因为这
样IO一高兴先拿出来批了，嘿嘿。

响工作效率。
写了一个python script。 状态变了可以自动发email提醒。有兴趣的可以拿去用。
需要自己改caseId, toaddress. 最好发信的email address 和密码 fromaddress也用
自己的。
现在的设置每 10分钟check一次。
非码工，纯业余爱好，高手莫见笑。

如果我注册一个账户的话，在USCIS寄出我的入籍面试通知时，可以在网上账号里看到

E-Notification是不是只适用于renew的呢？

头的。
4月7号收到paper receipt，同时发现支票已被兑现
5月25号收到approval notice，有效日期紧接上一张卡，2年有效。但没有收到任何e-
notification，同时网上的case status也还是initial review
决定先等几天，看能不能收到卡。 |

feb18th 2011. That means EB2 pd will move to till may 2011 in March bulletin
. Guys every one ready with your doc's.
He is from India and he is friend of my colleague. Hopefully this is true.
But keeping my fingers cross. Even though they send fee notification some
times they don't move priority dates. But seeing recent PD jums in each
bulletin i'm predicting that dates will jump to May 2011 in March bulletin.

次只带了485 receipt notice，当时也找不到打印机，没有打印最新的approval
notification的email
我们晚上开车入境的时候，盘查的CBP officier不是很懂政策，居然说我们apply 485
就自动terminate H1B status，还吓唬我们说travel outside of US without travel
documents，要每个人罚$550。我跟他解释，说我们两周前就travel过一次了，他也不
听。最后我就要求跟他的supervisor讲。于是就趴车，进CBP office里面。CBP效率真
低呀，把我们晾在那儿十几分钟，然后刚才那个officer拿着我们的护照和485 receipt
notice，跟他的上级进了一间小黑屋闭门讨论。讨论来讨论去，又过了二十多分钟，

发帖数: 2769 | 50 首先这个排期是由 DOS 制订的，而他们并不掌握 USCIS 的数据，两个部门的数据沟通
经常不及时。这其实是一切排期反常现象的根源。
其次，移民法允许 DOS 使用“合理的估计”来预测 visa 使用量，并基于这个预测来
制订排期。如果你仔细看 visa bulletin，菲律宾这个国家的 EB 只有 EB3 排期需要
特别制定，其他类别都是 current。而菲律宾 EB3 的排期基本上前 10 个月是按每月
一周的速度匀速前进的，最后俩月快进一把。
