接着八这个命。。。
大卫叔叔在西雅图没能爽太久，因为罩着他的咯噔大叔跳槽了（太不讲义气了！），大
卫叔叔少了这顶保护伞，结果可想而知。当时大卫叔叔正在为DEC的新机型Prism开发一
个全新的操作系统Mica，于是先是砍功能和改要求，然后就是彻底取消了Prism项目，
皮之不存，毛将焉附？新机型都没有了，为这个机型设计的操作系统自然更加完蛋。于
是大卫叔叔遭遇了他人生第一次re-org。
Re-org对于底下的小兵来讲还算不痛不痒，对于项目的头头来讲，那可真是痛过切肤之
痛。虽然大卫叔叔仍旧可以领他二十多万的年薪（八十年代的二十多万呀！），住他在
华盛顿湖边两个多米粒的豪宅，大卫叔叔还是痛苦地把自己喝得醉熏熏，在宣布队伍解
散的消息时，大卫叔叔哭鼻子了。这是大卫叔叔成年以来的第一次哭鼻子，也是唯一一
次哭鼻子。。。
当时，大卫叔叔的办公室里比尔大叔的办公室大概有4-5个英里吧，不知道是不是大卫

ACS期刊， 4个reviewer，3个建议Publish after minor revisions noted, 第四个没
有任何rating， 但是说 "it is not sufficiently novel for publication",没有说
为什么不novel，提了几个问题，觉得可以很容易解释清楚，看起来该reviewer好像对
这个方向不是很熟悉。
编辑把我据了的理由是不够novel。可是其他3个reviewer给的关于importance和
interest的rating都挺高，关于novel与否的rating （6 out of 10） 稍低。
是不是任何一个reviewer不建议发表就没戏？ 还是看编辑喜不喜欢？我觉得要是因为
第四个reviewer被据很冤枉。 如果是编辑的喜好/偏见之类我无话可说。
可以跟编辑appeal一下吗？

It is not a big deal. Just try to convince him not to follow too much new
novels.
Usually, I spent half an hour a day to follow 3 to 4 novels.
People need the his/her own time to enjoy himself or herself.
Be nice and patient to him.
Comparing to play games on the internet for all day, read novel is much
better and less time consuming.

French historical author Patrick Modiano has won the 2014 Nobel Prize for
literature.
The Nobel Academy described the novelist, whose work has often focused on
the Nazi occupation of France, as "a Marcel Proust of our time".
The award - presented to a living writer - is worth eight million kronor (&#
163;691,000).
Previous winners include literary giants such as Rudyard Kipling, Toni

Adult的文学系列之一，都是非常有名的畅销书，而且都已经改编成了电影。
The giver (1993) social science fiction children's novel (generally Young
Adult or older) 这个是94年的Newberry得主
The Hunger Game （2008）adventure novels
Maze Runner （2009） young-adult post-apocalyptic dystopian
Divergent （2011）young-adult dystopian novels
The giver我还没看过，但是其它三个都有比较明显的亲密场景，这些在HP和LOTR里都

发帖数: 11593 | 44 用原文的书名，是因为叫做《父与子》的书不止一本。而我这里特指的是埃·奥·卜劳
恩所画的《父与子》漫画。
一句题外话，卜劳恩作为德国人，估计按照很多军版ID的看法是属于自恨老将一族的吧
。当德国在二战战场上最为占上风时，他公然与纳粹政府唱反调，宣称这样独裁的政府
获得胜利是德国的耻辱；后因激烈的观点被投入监狱，并于被审判的前一天自杀——享
年四十一岁。看到这段作者传记时，惋惜而遗憾，却也不禁深深折服于此人的气节。
回头说这本漫画书。小学时第一次看到它，在看到完结之后极其不甘心，于是缠着老爸
不停问真的完了吗没有续集吗；最后老爸被我缠得不胜其烦，答曰你可以自己给它画续
集。于是我当真拿了纸笔自己来画；可惜当时还是小学五年级的我，对这种题材实在也
想不出什么新意来；画了四五幅，故事都与书中某几幅依稀相似，至于人物形象自然是
画得更加惨不忍睹——尽管漫画中的人物线条很简单乃至于让我觉得肯定不难摹仿。直
到我更大一些的时候才能看出，以如此简洁的构图和线条能传神地描绘人物的肢体动作
和表情的，必须是大师啊。
这是第一部让我情不自禁地在看完之后极其不甘心于它的完结、乃至要为它画同人的书

很小的时候看过的《Star Wars》，后来陆陆续续看过一些novelization和属于legends
的外传，关于Sith的起源等等，玩过一些星战游戏，但是都没有很系统地钻研这个系列。
最近在跟娃们一起看《Clone Wars》系列，就跟娃一起补了一下课，把《Star Wars》
里面的Canon都又复习了一遍，从图书馆借来了六部蓝光收藏版，把deleted scenes和
制作过程的记录片也看了一遍，包括演员采访，卢卡斯访谈，还有visual artists的访
谈等等。
这卢卡斯不近就靠这个系列吃了一辈子，还养活了一堆人，包括做电影的，写小说的（
以Star Wars fictional universe为题材的小说就不下一百本，当然，大多数都只有
legends的地位，canon还是原来的那几个电影加上《Clone Wars》的电视系列片。
关于星战人物背景和武器装备已经有无数的coffee table books了，最近在图书馆找到
一本星战和地球历史背景的书，跟娃们一起过了一遍。

已经完全废了。又问第三个人，想死还是想被弹**。他犹豫半天，看看他们两个如此痛
苦，而且东西也坏了，觉得选死也许会出现奇迹，起码没有那么痛苦啊，所以就壮烈的
回答说：死。于是酋长说：“拉下去，弹**弹到死。“
