LD来美两年多，是non-resident,
1.是不是联合报税，就可以都用resident,填表1040一份即可?
2.要分别填2个8843吗？还是只填我的？
3。这样LD的银行利息要交税吗？

all scholarship are not taxable.
but then you have to list out income tax treaty of the IRS code on the last
page of 1040-NR.
Example.
a student make $7000 in 2007 from a job on campus.
you just have to put $2000 on the wage line, and fill out the last page.
if your friend has been here for more than 5 years, he/she can fill a
regular tax form.

publication, a reference is necessary. If for
commercial use, I doubt that you can just copy and paste.
You better check the statement of NR's license. I believe
they have seperate license for just the code. |
