movies are shown on a huge, flat screen in the way traditional movies are
shown.
By contrast, Omnimax movies are shown on the curved roof of the giant theatre.
The result is that Omnimax seems more to engulf the viewer than Imax. The
downside with Omnimax is that some people feel a bit queasy after watching an
Omnimax movie. |

美国有很多Omnimax Theater,放一些风景片和科学探索片, 视觉音响
效果好极了, 仿佛身临其境.票价也不贵, 和普通电影差不多.
我上上周末去匹兹堡拜访cmu的同学, 去Carnegie Science Center
看了一场Coral Reef Adventure , 勾起了我对球幕电影的美好回忆.
对大自然, 旅游, 科学探索有兴趣的人不妨多去看看此类电影, 绝对
享受, 感觉自己溶入片中.
美国的Omnimax Theater很多, 几乎各大城市的科学馆都有.
球幕电影又称“圆穹电影”或“穹幕电影”。20世纪70年代出现的一
种大银幕电影。拍摄及放映均采用超广角鱼眼镜头，观众厅为圆顶式
结构，银幕呈半球形，观众被包围其中，视银幕如同苍穹。由于银幕
影像大而清晰，自观众面前延至身后，且伴有立体声环音，使观众如
置身其间，临场效果十分强烈。 |

发帖数: 544 | 8 还有art museum。还有三个博务馆连在一起的museum center,里面有个omnimax影院。
mt Adam 上鸟瞰downtown和river和大桥风景很好。kings island 夏天有个water park
票里包括。另外不远处还有个水上乐园beach。还有一个游乐园coney island。
downtown 还有个兰色的铁桥也值得上去走走。reds的比赛也可以看看，主要是看体育
场的里面挺状观。new port 的on the levee 有个水族馆，挺小的不过。music hall
和arnold center 经常有演出，parking也不贵，赞一个，呵呵。 |

2。住rockville，去DC玩，外加购物，前后一共五六天，没车，准备坐地铁公交。查了
下网站，七天的pass有几种，我是不是得买metrorail的那种而不是metrobus的？

space musemn.
2. Metro rail is for subway train, metro bus is for bus. but sometimes,
metrorail tickets work for metrobus too. |

的science center 看过，无奈俺又住在农村，好不容易进一次城所以想再去爽一把。

馆址就在1986年世界万国博览会的地点, 馆内设有四个立体剧院, 其中 Omnimax 剧院设
有360度屏幕, 播放各类冒险性的影片, 影片以特殊的角度及技巧来拍摄, 使观众有身历
其境的感觉. 科学馆适合全家同游, 因为孩子们可以藉由实际的道具, 及馆员的说明, 来
学习生活化的科学知识. 科学馆约两三个月就会举行特展, 以特殊的主题来吸引游客. 除
了圣诞节以外, 科学馆是全年无休的. |

科技馆的确需要开车去，地铁线毕竟不在附近，坐公交太难等车了。不过里面的那个
Omnimax Theater真是超赞！德国潜艇，地下煤矿也非常不错，各个年龄段的人可以在
里面找到乐趣。在Navy Pier的那个儿童博物馆超级无聊，小孩子可能在里面很高兴，
老人就烦透了。
水族馆的海豚表演值得一看，但其他感觉一般。
Field Museum去过一次，太大了，都有点不知道看什么好。天文台没有去过。 |

环幕电影是指一种在围绕影院圆形内壁、呈３６０度的环形银幕上放映的电影。
由多台摄影机同步摄制，多台放映机同步放映，有三台、五台、九台、十一台
等多种。环形电影院的放映机装置在环形银幕上方的放映室中，观众站立于观
众厅中央，可随意四面观看。由于视野开阔，具有多声道立体声效果，能使观
众产生身临其境的感觉。但由于设备复杂，放映时间不宜过长，一般仅半小时
左右。环形电影院不能兼放普通影片，故限制较大，难以推广。
相反，球幕电影的座位非常舒适，微微向后倾斜，根本不需要仰脖子， 呵呵。

发帖数: 1942 | 21 我以前每到一个地方，都要把IMAX找到，跟着看它所放映的所有影片。
超大屏幕的和球幕的(IMAX Dome/OMNIMAX)。
球幕的有时候会头晕。
听说有720度立体角的站在玻璃板上看的，可惜没看过。
最刺激的还是椅子也会动的那种。只要一点点加速度，配上视觉的提示就“爽死了”。
IMAX里椅子会动的我只在vegas看过。
主要是本人胆子比较小，又想体验刺激。十多年前加州universal studios里看back to the future是第一次经历这种视觉刺激加上些微物理加速，感觉好极了。
Florida的universal studios里这几年出的是蝙蝠侠，不过一来时间短，二来椅子还要转来转去，弄了很多没必要(个人观点)的噱头。
3D的影片中以florida的disney里这几年放的那个最得我心。时间长度正好，情节音乐正好，视觉效果正好，每次还都能把我逗乐－－－要知道，我是前后多少年看了几十遍啊...估计好多小孩子都不如我去disney玩的次数多。
最后一次去disney的时候，突然发现自己还是长大了，好多以前爱玩的都太孩子气。太刺激的又已经老得玩不动。
