一篇Petition Letter 多长为宜？仍以EB1B 为例，我们一起来估算一下。用Word默认
的Page Layout，字体为Times New Roman， 字号为11，行距为1.5倍。
前言大概有2页，结论有1页。主体为采用的分论点。
分论点1-3都价值较高且显而易见，有1-2页即可。
分论点4，力度稍弱，需花点儿力气证明是编辑部比较筛选的结果，约需3-5页。
分论点5 和6，价值较低，需多方引用，反复论证， 约需5-15页。
加在一起，如果只用两个论点，Petition Letter的长度可能在5-33页。对采用到5和6
的朋友而言，约需13-33页。如果用两 个以上论点，Petition Letter还会更长。
有朋友担心移民官不喜欢长的Petition Letter。这大可不必。相对于那两三百页总数
来说，这二三十页又算得了什么呢？而且这二三十是组织有序，图文并茂，比那些七零
八落的supporting information耐看多了。谁个不喜，哪个不爱？而且以前早有高人道
破，对于这类申请，多比少好，长比短强。大家都参加过会议，片片多时间长的总是牛

故，没有时间来处理这些。而且经过这些变故，深深地感觉到，什么eb1a,eb1b,都算不
上什么难事，能够考虑eb1,eb2的同学们，应该都是一路走来，不说是风调雨顺，也是
学业有成的人，都具有足够的资格。找推荐信,review，过程虽然痛苦，但是那都是幸
福的烦恼呀。正在烦恼的同学们，请相信我的话。而且说实话象我们这种循规蹈矩申请
eb1,2背景简单的人，基本上就是实力说话，根本用不上什么很专业的法律知识，根本
就是给移民律师送钱，真要用到移民律师的时候，平时就做eb1,2 case的移民律师还真
帮不上忙，大家还是义无反顾的DIY吧。
mitbbs上传不了pdf,传图片又太麻烦， 我就建了个yahoo帐号，先把petition

要的第六封推荐信和editor的推荐信在版上求助过，最后坚持之下他们还是加进去了。
这一次的矛盾是petition letter。之前我把所有的相关证据都寄给了律师。结果律师
起草的petition letter基本是第一部分就是反复罗列citation有多少，paper有多少，
review有多少，然后大段地引用推荐人的话来证明被推荐人有多优秀，基本没有用我给
他们的具体证据，比如某个文章是某个具体领域的#1，某篇文章被作为某个实验室的新
研究的基础等等，只是笼统地说去参考exhibit 多少。我感觉这种写法很risky,没有办
法验证申请人如何是Top 1%，根据版上最近的例子这种写法有可能被RFE,因为单纯引用
推荐人说你如何牛都是主观的（即使推荐人和你不认识），关键还是要hard facts。我
基本重写了律师的petition letter，加了很多事实和细节进去，参照版上的模板列了

will seek a dialogue with Jimmy Kimmel/ABC if his petition reach 10000
people.
I checked his petition, it only has 114 now. I think this is so because
there are two similar petitions on change.org and people are confused.

，在前贴也有讲过。现将我的PL中大家可能参考的部分贴上来（主要是开头和结尾几个
段落），至于中间部分，我觉得真的需要自己根据自己的研究项目好好写，多写，多改
，找不同的人帮看，提意见，别的没有什么好办法。
（二）review
这个比较容易攒，大家也很下功夫。但是我的原则是我不会找研究领域跟稿件差别大的
reviewer。而且我接的稿子非常少，希望大家理解。

Employer已经file了I-129 (用的Premium Processing）。目前只收到了邮件的receipt
notice，里面有一个“Receipt Number”（首三位是字母，后10位为数字).
想网上先预约H1B签证的面试时间，但是网申系统要求我输入“Petition Number”（Yo

候信封里没
