Actually, it's the opposite. DVD has regional code. Players sold in USA
should only be able to read region 1 DVDs. DVDs distributed in china should
be region 6.
But the DVD you buy in China at the stores may be region free. And the
players you buy in USA can be hacked to read all regions (older models). The
problem with pirate DVD is more with the disk quality and compression
format. |

安装很简单， 效果和52寸 HD LCD 配合， 真的很震撼！就是一般的DVD， 效果由于
update to 1080p， 都比使用composite 三线的 常规DVD 好很多，
这里大大表扬一下 HDMI接口， 视频、音频都一根线， 比以前 视频三根先， 音频两
根线那是大大进步了啊

s brand or any cheap one, it should be ok. I have a cheap Philip's brand
