simple. however, I don't think people outside of polymer science may
understand anything beyond the introduction section if they just flip over in
several days. Let alone understand quite well and find there are indeed some
mistakes and unsolved problems in those two textbooks. Even some people who
claimed they are POLYMER PHYSICISTS are in fact just experts in polymer

真是隔行如隔山，今天看文章时看到大家说polymer film (e.g.
polystyrene)的refractive index 的时候都要说 film thickness。难道polymer 的折光
率和film的厚度有关？
那一般说的ploystyrene的refractive index在589 nm 是 1.59 是怎么回事儿啊？ |

没有aggregation. 然后加热到Tg, 同时用一个很大的外加电场，使这些大机型分子作
定向排列。
目前发现最好的host polymer是PVP(poly-4-vinylphenol), 但是冷却，撤掉外加电场
之后，仍然可以观测到分子的relaxation and aggregation. 所以，我准备通过溶剂相
地反应，covalently地把这些分子连接在PVP上面， 以求阻止它们的aggregation. 我
的问题是：
1. 有哪些常用的，产率高的得可以在PVP的羟基上连东西的反应？
2. 这些反应的条件又是什么，关键是溶剂的选择如何？我对polymer懂得不多，就我的
理解，因为我希望我的分子能比较均匀分布的attach在PVP上，应该用能使PVP链完全展
开的溶剂。

polymer在溶剂中都是以entanglement的形式存在，不利于dendron的attack。当然也根
据具体情况而定吧，如果polymer backbone的共轭度比较高，应该会更rigid一点，
divergent似乎也不会差。 |

因为样品中polymer chain是有orientation的，所以在想这个峰是不是代表Polymer
chain的有序排列。
问一下大牛们，如何确定这个峰？
我的想法是，根据键长、键角，大致估计一下polymer chain之间的距离
不知道这个是不是合理？
或者有其他实验方法来测量？ |

一些白色的gel状东西，除了gel外，还有透明的polymer溶液在。 怎么说呢？就想蛋花
汤一样，汤稠稠的就跟透明的polymer一样，飘着的白色蛋花就和那些gel一样。我的
polymer已经稀释得很稀了，从1%降到了0.05%估计还要更低了，还是一样有gel，pH也
都挑到4了。

A new model of polymers in flow in semi-dilute solution is presented. The
chains are modeled as simple Hookean dumbbells exposed to compressive
hydrodynamic forces. Equating the hydrodynamic and elastic forces predicts
chain compression with shear rate. The model predicts both the power law
behaviour observed for polymer shear thinning and the measured decrease in
radius with shear rate with reasonable accuracy. |

I don't think its a good idea to add food color or acrylic paint.
First, those are water based color and polymer clay is oil based.
Second, those color may not be able to survive the curing heat.
You could mix different color of polymer clay to have the color you prefer.
Or you can paint the cured clay with acrylic paint.
Have you ever tried air dry clay(Paper clay)? It can be mixed with paint to
get different colors, and you do not need to bake it. The only problem is that
you can not mend two |
