要是RP钱也太少了，要是RAP还行。
我呆过两个地方，非著名公立大学医学院，非clinical track，
RAP都是105k左右， RP在150K以上 |

现在找了个美国位置，为了对等给了个Research Professor， 是这样吧？
医学院工资可能偏高吧，我呆过几个地方所见到的RAP都是100K以上的
不过我一直认为RP的Title很高了，再找新位置，别人会要求更高，要看publication，
grant等等，不太容易找下家；以前我们都觉得， 找TT AP时， 对RAP的要求就高于
fresh PhD或者postdoc |

楼上几位大哥大姐，这是很严肃的学校招assistant professor，我在这只给中国人宣
传这个职位信息而且透漏具体进程已经是做的有些过分了，你还让我把学校明目张胆的
贴出来？
还招PHD，那是个人行为，大哥大姐，这是招professor，是学校行为，不是我要招，理
论上招人的进程我是不能泄露的。
这要是让学校知道了还得了，再说我把学校写出来我同事也可能看到啊，你们就想着自
己得便宜，不想想别人吗？

指的是可以招博士生的正式的faculty吗?
我最近看到一个人在印度读的硕士博士博士后，简历里面连本科都没写。然后来美国辗
转一个地方做了好几年年薄厚，然后md anderson 做了5年instructor。接着又做了4年
assistant professor。。。文章也不怎么样。
而且在德州大学系统里，他的种族写的是american indian/alaska native。 他就是一
个印度人。觉得这人非常不靠谱。
在生物版有人说这只是non tenure track的.那这样title的人是不是相当于在大老板手
下的一个小老板，可能会帮着写grant，带一带博士生。或者只是一个高级博士后。。。
md anderson给这样的title好欺骗人啊。外面的人看到这样的简历，都以为是全国数一
数二的医疗研究中心的AP。 |

LD是food science毕业的PHD。
系头也帮忙找职位了，但是新学校food science提出了LD的Adjunct Assistant
Professor职位，non-tenure-track，教学为主。当然就不那么满意。
求有经验的前辈分享一下：
（1）Adjunct AP 的合同可以一直续下去吗？还是3-5年上限?
（2）Full-time Adjunct AP的H1B学校会帮助申请吗？
（3）作为spouse，本校内部Adjunct AP如果表现不错的话，有机会转tenure-track吗
？要不要把tenure-track eligible写一下或者什么的？
（4）LD明天面试，需要aggressive的表达她自己的tenure意愿吗？
（5）作为我而言，需要PUSH一下我的系头，再来争取一下LD的tenure-track吗？还是
这个ADJUNCT的职位已经木已成舟了？

发帖数: 2322 | 15 1 “可以申请” 和“必须申请” 是两回事，我们一般说的6年都是必须申请的年限（
不申请就得走人）。你看princeton那么多人2年就从AP到正教授，理论上随时都可以
promote。
2 teaching为主的学校都没事
3 我理解tt ap的probation period就是tt的时间。我刚工作的时候probation写的是6
年。
4 每个field不一样，有的field develop的很快，早年的professor都没文章（甚至牛
校都有可能，我们领域里最老的一批现在70+的professor很多都不做研究，因为他们年
轻的时候研究领域还没建起来），新人都需要文章，哪怕teaching school。你主要是
要和同龄人比，看看相似档次的人能不能发文章。但teaching position一般都是意思
一下就好，不会要求太高。

没错，医学院teaching一般会弱，但其他方面条件不能弱，比如发表文章，editorial
board, invited talks, international recognition之类。
他的意思是如果转TTAP需要三年后评，但是他现在只要等CV够的话可以随时评tenured
associate professor（我想主要是要第二个R01），所以更机动。
另外，如果本系不能转成tenure,能否找到其他学校（可能稍弱）tenured associate
professor? |

结要不要接受。请大家给些意见吧。一下是一些基本情况。
我是engineering里面比较热门的专业，在CA， boston，TX都有industry的机会，目前
也正在和一些大公司面试。这个offer是一个偏远地区的大学，专业排名大概是100名左
右。系主任说2011年秋季有tenure track的opening，会优先考虑visiting professor
，但是不能保证，因为要看teaching和research的表现。
因为女朋友要明年毕业（今年年底找），而且她的专业只可能是faculty。所以我一直
觉得我今年应该去找个牛校的postdoc，然后等她找到后，我明年再继续找faculty（希
望后年就可以在一起了）。但是postdoc也找的很不顺，几乎所有好点的学校都没有任
何消息，最近只好找industry的工作。
现在就比较纠结了，接受这个visiting的offer吧，如果明年没有拿到那个tenure的
offer，那我就会有身份问题，还得继续找其他学校或者ind |

请教一个保险claim过期的问题。我去年12月的时候做了一个lab test, provider是in-
network的。由于我的保险hospital和physican/lab是分开2个不同的公司，一开始lab
向hospital的公司claim了，然后被拒了。由于我去的时候留了信用卡信息，所以他们
就charge到我的信用卡上了。我给他们打了电话，告知了正确的保险公司信息，然后他
们就说可以向保险公司claim,然后就给我refund的了。之后我也就没有留意这件事。补
充以下，这个时候是3月份。然后前几天我收到了保险公司的一封信，说claim被denied
了因为超过了规定的日期。保险公司说我的responsibility是0，因为是lab的错，他们
从3月拖到9月才claim.我想请教这种情况下我需要做什么?lab会不会仍然bill我full
amount?其实保险公司就是付款也不会付太多，但是如果被保险denied我就得付全价，
主要是觉得很委屈，lab自己拖着最后却要我买单，如果给我保险的优惠价我可能也就

associate 换成research scientist。老板不同意，要我“have written several
proposals”. 老板这几年自己也没写过几个proposals，等退休呢。 我的工资是别的
老师的。现在别的组老师根本没人跟我老板写proposals。咋办？

I did not want to be too direct. So I asked if it is above or below 10k Chinese yuans/month. My friend said that it is below 10k. And it barely touches 10k for most professors of his rank even after all income sources combined.

究员。5年后考评，通过之后，叫做associate professor,中文副教授。但是其他个人
待遇和科研待遇等同甚至超过其他一流高校的教授。至少生科院效法的是NIBS的体制。 |
