题, 有一组同学, 3人, 其中2人很投入(老美), 另一人没那么投入(本科后才来美国念
书的非老中的亚洲人), 但也不是啥事都没做, 拿得出不少东西来正明自己课后也是
contribute了起马100+小时. 和这组学生有过3次group meeting, 两老美象是在主载着
这个project, 可能和这两人之前学科, 工作背景有关. 和第3个学生单独谈过, 感觉他
是希望两老美告诉他该怎么做/分配任务给他. 不知道这样的话, GROUP PROJECT最后第

发帖数: 520 | 5 大家好，前一阵子在一个会议上和一个公司的project leader见了一次面，就是大概聊了一下；回学校后给他发了封邮件，同时也申请了以下他们组里的一个position；这个project leader看到我的简历后马上给我了一个phone interview,针对我的 background大概聊了20多分钟的样子吧；感觉聊得还算可以, 主要原因是因为我还要6个月才能毕业，不过他也说了，6个月以后他们组里估计还会有新的职位；我马上说我也可以考虑暑假结束后就可以去上班，但project leader说还要面试其他candidates再看看；
过了几个小时后，一个负责找人的说什么他的工作是coordinate with project leader(不知道是不是HR,但他自己说一点都不懂技术），也大概聊了一下：工资期待 + 为什么公司会要我 + 愿不愿意relocation + 为什么离开现在的地方。
完事后，说什么要我等待2个星期，再给我消息。 事后，我也没有给他发封thanks
letter，因为我压根就不知道这个人的邮件地址。
大家看会是个什么样的情况？ 要不要move on，看到有 |

建议你好好打好基础，练习好了，然后在skill这栏上做文章，比如写5+ years c++之类
的，比如自学了machine learning，就在skill里写much experience on machine lear
ning之类的
至于project，如果还有地方，就老老实实写ee时候project好了
ee学生的简历，skill是自学而不是通过project体现这太正常了 |

system driven by electric field. 这个project code 总共大概5000行的样子。在编
程过程中用到的library是GNU scientific library（for complex numbers and
matrix calculation ）+Message passing interface( for large scale
parallelization),project里面主要用到的就是多重复数积分，唯一能扯的数据结构就
是hash table，因为计算过程中的time evolution matrix 被存储起来，以后直接计算
时间进行调用。
请问象这样的scientific project转行中怎么用，怎么说，怎么找到面试。

我的hiring manager是director, 我report给他。
可是到了具体的工作，我是由另一个project manager给我assign的。也就是说，他来
管项目。
这样问题就来了，我的director其实并不懂具体工作，那我干的好坏是由project
manager说了算的。可是我的project manager平时不怎么管我，我干的好坏跟他似乎也
没太大关系。假如我的project manager使坏, 不给我提供必要的帮助，或者恶意贬低
我的成果，那岂不是我在director面前哑巴吃黄莲了？ |

Project management 很有用的, 因为好多人习惯专注自己的摊子, 而一个项目, 一个
产品开发, 需要的是团队合作, project manager 的工作就是监控这个合作的效果和进
展.他可以对各个部门的具体操作都不精通, 但是他应该比任何部门都了解全局, 尤其
了解部门之间的相互衔接和资源共享, 比如 B 部门必须在 A 部门完成一个结果之后才
能开始他们的工作, 或者突然出现一个挫折后, 各部门如何分工来解决.有时候, 每个
部门都会在不同时期派不同人员参与这个项目的工作,最后可能在所有人员中, 唯一不
变的人, 只有这个项目经理. 这就是他存在的价值.
在开项目进度会议的时候, 你如果有意见, 包括对 project manager 的安排有意见,
你有责任当场提出来, 他必须给你答复, 或者组织团队讨论你的意见, 如果一致认为你
的意见合理, 就会在后面的工作中考虑. |

manager. 大老板就在会上说以后这个project的main contact是这个新PM. 新PM比我高
一级,是能说会道的年轻白男.从此以后该PM让我一天给他update两次,他自己几乎没有

code给他. 然后他就一直要阿要,最后我还是很软蛋的给他了....其实工作辛苦点也没
什么,关键是我做的事情如何公正得到credit, 让大家看到我的存在呢 |

到不行。其中这四个人就用abcd代替吧。这四个人都是大四cs学生，abc已经找到了
fulltime的工作，d貌似有内向症很难聊开，不知道其状况如何。a和b交情很好，a推荐
了b做project manager,之后两人就互相cover，谁不想开会了另一方就帮他签到，剩下
我和c,d不熟一人一票，ab则是一个整体，他们有两票，project怎么做基本他们说了算
。 a和b已经找到工作，上课就是混，可想而知我们组的project搞成啥样。c和d完全不
参加讨论，每次开会就是分任务，各做各的，也没有人在意质量如何。话说c虽然太出
力，但他似乎能力比较强，a和b都很尊重他，开会基本就是a和b在打听c的工作。d同学

。这些项目都是我们在实际工作中遇到的技术难题，可能涉及不同的领域。当然会者不
难，对于熟悉相关技术的ID来说，多数题目可能只相当于一个course project 而已。
我们相信这么做可以降低我们的研发成本，也可以给想练练手的ID一个机会。
报酬视难度和工作量而定，但至少不会低于1000美元。

具体的project。为了尽可能吸引老板的注意，我挺想propose一些自己相对比较喜欢的
project，希望这样能让老板感受到我对这个领域很强的兴趣。但又怕这样让老板感觉
自己只想做这几个project，这样的话如果跟老板的funding的方向不和估计就肯定没戏
了。我这些想法多余么？大家申请时就跟老板提过自己喜欢的project吗？还是简单说
喜欢实验室的大方向，具体内容等拿到面试后再去跟老板面谈？大家有什么建议？谢谢 |

projection如果不一样的话加在同一个view里是重合不到一起的，最好是加到arcmap里
查查。
选择Nadcon是对的，另外就是UTM的unit如果对的话应该会重合到一起的。好像它的
default是feet, not meter,在project时最后确定一下。
用arctoolbox的projection wizard最方便。

可能的。

Exits polls from South Carolina suggest we are heading to a victory for Newt
Gingrich fueled largely by voters who made their minds up in the last few

发帖数: 1121 | 46 I will be teaching a 400-level (undergraduate) class in the coming spring
semester 2010. 7 students took my another 300-level class in the fall 2009.
This 300 level class is a prerequisite class for 400-level.
In this 400-level class, I will be giving students a team project. However,
the same project has been given in my previous 300-level class. Now for
these 7 students, they have already done this project. So what is the best
and fairest way for these students and for the rest of students?

第一个引申出来的(解决第一部分留下的悬念)但也可以分别看成是自成
一体(of interest at its own right)。第一第二两个实验相关但是
侧重点很不一样，第三个实验几乎完全独立。
想请教一下这里的诸位老师，实验部分是分开写好还是最后放到一起写比较好？
分开写的话每一部分自成一体，讲的时候时间不够的话可以略去第三部分
不讲；缺点是整个讲座中有三个地方在讲实验。
三个实验放在一起讲的优点是比较符合常规，缺点是担心在讲实验时听众
可能已经有点忘记前面project的内容了，还有讲完三个project剩下的
时间可能比较紧凑甚至会没有时间讲实验了。
我倾向于分开讲但还有点拿不定注意，希望大家给一些建议，多谢！ |
