发帖数: 1517 | 1 我想买一个电视卡，google了半天，我的理解是这样：NTSC的卡能接收空中的模拟信号
（不知道能不能收cable里的模拟信号），ATSC的卡接收空中的数字信号，QAM接收
cable中的数字信号。
我打算买一个ATSC/QAM的卡（Kworld），看了一下review，别人说由于现在cable公司
把许多数字电视都加密了，所以卡的QAM功能形同虚设，收不着什么能看得频道。
Newegg上对这个卡的ATSC功能评价差别很大，有的说挺好，有的说信号很弱，也许有地
点差异。
现在我的问题是，如果我买了这个卡，用不上它的QAM功能，ATSC接收的信号又弱，那
我有可能用这个卡从cable接收模拟信号吗？还是说必须要买一个带NTSC功能的才行？
其实我的要求不高，我就看看三大network就行了，平时听听新闻什么的。另外貌似房
东只定了Time Warner的high speed internet,因为我只看到一个类似宽带猫的东西。
像我这这种情况，选择什么样的电视卡比较合适啊？谢谢。 |

The little piece of information useful for you is that nowadays, HDTV comes
in two flavors, Over the air, and Cable.
To enjoy the former one, you need a tuner or TV equiped with something
called ATSC tuner, for later one, you need QAM(or clear QAM for unencrypted
signal) tuner.
So, the answer to your question, is that check your tuner,
if you see QAM tuner, you should able to watch the HDTV with your current
setting, otherwise, get a different TV tuner, actual T |

(1) plazma的对比度和颜色,dark black是没的说,绝对比LCD好.但是对于现在的节目来
说,还是LCD比较好,因为电视上有太多480i,480p,4:3的节目.用plazma看,如果不做水平
拉伸,就有可能burn in.拉伸看着难受,多了个顾虑.
(2) 1920x1080意义不算非常大,当然看1080i的节目,还是要比其他的好.但是如果电视
不大也就无所谓了.我觉得hd-DVD和blue-ray DVD的制式之争得过几年才平息.所以短期
内没什么节目可以充分利用1920x1080.就算你买了hd-dvd,你也找不到足够的片子.除非
打游戏,另当别论.
(3) native resolution只是一方面,老的模拟的电视效果那么好,只有480i.颜色数目,
对比度,scaler的性能都要综合考虑.所以不要买太便宜的电视.便宜的电视用的
processor太差.好的scaler非常重要,如果你经常看STV,DTV(480i),EDTV(480p)的节目.

QAM is lossless, nothing to do with video quality. QAM channel is only a
carrier, in fact, it is subject to less distortion than using antenna.
Analog channels should have been removed already, all channels are digital,
you need digital transit adaptor to view on old TV |

时候上门安装的人给了一个外接盒，但我们用了外接盒就没法看HD，所以就没有用。我
们家的电视是HD，自带QAM解调的那种。
网上搜了下，貌似是Comcast使得坏，加了密，即使QAM解调的电视也不能看高清了。但
又看到好像comcastg提供高清外接盒给Basic用户免费用两年，basic也能看高清？有没

1. 从技术角度, cable 公司一般用不同频段的BPF, 俗称TAP, 来阻断用户没订购的
channels. 但是无法physically 切断coax cable connection. With ISP in place,
they ahve to open up the frequencies that carry the ISP traffic, which most
of the broadcast digital channels are using.
2. 从法律角度, FCC规定cable 公司必须carry the broadcast digital channels
unencrypted, which is clear QAM. So the TV with clear QAM tuner should be
able to receive them.
跟basic TV package 想比, 每月省你20刀, only lose analog channel 2.

tuner一直能够观看几个Local HD channels的.目前Comcast把QAM tunner通道给封锁了
,所有频道都加密了.只能上午去Comcast Service Center拿了个HD DTA装上, 结果收到
一堆SD channels, 却没有一个HD channel.赶紧联系Comcast, 他们说观看HD channel
还需要每个月付$10的HD Tachnology Fee.我的Limited Basic cable每个月才付$16,
为什么HD Tachnology Fee就要$10/月? 简直是乱敲竹杠. Comcast太霸道了.好像Local
HD channel法定是免费的.请问各位大侠我们这里有没有其他更好的TV+Internet
provider? 我们住在Bellevue.非常感谢! |

你去查美国的电视上带的tuner，一般是NTSC+ATSC+QAM, (QAM近几年多了）。
我有个LCD电视因为是台湾造的，所以居然说明书里说明了支持PAL。
不过电源也要查一查。 |

一部分是天线也可以接收的免费节目，叫做OTA。
另外一部分就是收费的cable节目
如果你仅仅只要有线中OTA免费的部分
理论上，你要开通cable basic，然后买一个OTA turner卡即可。
这个卡应该可以外接天线，也可以接有线，都是同轴的口
下面这个是典型的QAM Turner卡，价格都很便宜
Hauppauge WinTV HVR-950Q - ATSC HDTV / QAM receiver / analog TV tuner - US
当然极少情况下，你不需要开通cable basic，也可以用这个卡接收到cable中的OTA部分
但是据我所知，大部分cable TV都scramble了OTA的信号，你还是需要QAMTurner才能接收
如果你要cable中加密的部分，比如Fox，TBS，TNT，HBO等等台
那么你需要买可以插cablecard的Turner 卡，典型的就是Ceton
你除了开通cable服务外，还需要租一个cablecard，大约每个月5刀左右 |

cable box 出来的hdmi，基本上录不了，可能偶尔有clear qam的可以录，要是有1394
，可能能通过1394录，但也仅限于clear qam的。
加密的目前除了录模拟信号好像还没啥好办法。
要是楼主真想录，有两个方法可以一试：一个是hauppauge的hd-pvr。可以录component
，效果还可以。
另一种就是用支持cable card的电视卡。
