Some particles such as photons and electrons, when brought together and then
separated, can become “entangled” and exist in the same quantum
mechanical state.
This quantum mechanical state, prior to any form of measurement, possesses
indefinite properties such as position in space, spin, and polarization.
Such properties remain indefinite until they are measured, at which point
they take on definite values such as a particular location in space or a
clockwise spin. After one such entangled parti... 阅读全帖

INTRODUCTION
This is a non-mathematical proposal introducing a cosmological model that is
cyclic, deterministic and infinity-free. For the purpose of achieving this
objective a number of new concepts are introduced. The framework of this
proposal is structured over a number of assumptions, leading to various
considerations of cosmological concerns. Furthermore, verification methods
are suggested of both, observational and mathematical nature.

Currently the quantum coherence thing is still a mistery and it's good to do
some experiments to check the foundation of the quantum mechanics. Besides, I
think whatever they name it, quantum computer or quantum communication is just
a fad, but it's easy to get research fund and not a bad research topic in
terms of fundamental physics. For example, although you could avoid all the

Some of my understandings to the problem.
First, consider the EPR experiments and many similar experiments, the
macroscopically separated particles are in a coherent state, and when you
measure the state of one particle at A locally, the state of another particle
far apart at B is determined by the measurement at A. This is the basic
assumption of Quantum Mechanics at the present stage. And the collapse of the

From Heisenberg uncertainty principle, you could do an order of magnitude
estimation. The linewidth should be around 10 kHz. The quantum efficency is
basically how much you get vs. how much you pump.
So, the triplet life time determines the natural linewidth and the quantum
efficiency gives you the comparable peak value of the absorption spectrum.
