京貌似同时要招实习生，新泽西大概招4名，北京大概招3名。Application deadline是
一月底。北京的office要求是中国公民。貌似接受无经验(但最好略懂）的申请者。博
士优先。据朋友说往年最后录取者貌似中国人不少。实习的薪水方面，美国的薪水大概
在33-36刀每小时。有机会（但据说很不容易）在实习后拿到全职offer（朋友没拿到但

is the best tactic for you to use regulatory as the stepping stone for a
couple of reasons: first, it may be very tricky, or rather difficult, for
someone with limited experience to land a job in regulatory. I do know
people that did get jobs in regulatory or clinical with no experience and/or

考职业发展时，觉得Quality Assurance and Regulatory是一条适合自己的职业道路。
本人背景如下：
Microbiology专业的master，在一家chemical公司的做过3年的chemist （R&D).目前在
一家医疗器械公司做production quality engineer。身份是H1b。
我要请教的问题主要是2个：
1）想做Quality Assurance and Regulatory需要怎样的素质和技能？我之前的R&D,
QUALITY的经验是否有帮助？
2）我了解到在北美，regulatory affair想入行比较困难。而目前本人所在公司规模很
小，所有regulatory的事务都由VP负责，我基本插不上手。
所以我在想否值得投资（大约4W刀）读一个regulatory affairs 的 online master。
然后再入行？
目前感兴趣是John Hopkins和Northwestern的program。

Regulatory is a vast field. Everyone probably has their own understanding
what regulatory affairs means, which functional divisions are included in it
and what responsibilities it assumes.
I personally think anything that operates under the mandates of a drug law

精通。我们公司有从mechanical engineer或者其他engineer转过来做regulatory
engineer的。
与regulatory agencies打交道可多可少，有的公司都是大头和这些regulatory agency
打交道。
但是写510k什么的，还有和各个部门交流语言要求还是比较高的。

，大多数人都是先从公司其他位置转到RA 部门的，比如research, QC lab, 然后上了

你说的职业发展不大，是那些只有本科学位，或者不是science 背景的。基本
regulatory 有两条track，一个是 operation, 一个是strategy。 那些本科的就只能

PhD 入门的话，基本用几个月到一年做这类operational事情用来熟悉工作，然后发展

我就知道这一位。大约是接近associate director的级别，function是最核心的
regulatory strategist。 您也太看不起药厂的director了吧，平均director大约
package都在20万+吧。Pharma现在收入最好的还是genentech，director package接近
30万，可以在glassdoor上搜到。
不过很多biotech的director在big pharma只相当于associate director,可能是低的原
因。 |

重要的。RA和QA是相辅相成的， 缺一就是一条腿走路。再有， 这一行牵扯面很广，
GLP/GCP/GMP/GTP， IND/NDA/BLA/510K/IDE。。。 据GMP为例， 有药物的，血的，器
材的，食物的，营养补充，等等。
一个REGULATORY AFFAIRS 的硕士学位真的不是很有用。 生物的Ph.D在这一行也没有优
势和硕士/学士来比较 |

前做过点RTTE, FCC以外，对regulatory基本没经验。
另外，我一直是Design的背景，倒是现在想往系统方面转，但是这个regulatory是不是
转得有点远了？

请问这行入门有多难？还有前景发展怎样？对外国人来说有啥额外的困难？ |

我现在是bio PhD3年级 学校也还不错(top 10) 不过我最近一段时间对regulatory aff
airs方面的工作挺感兴趣的 我们这边有个学校有一个regulatory science的MS progra
m 我看课程设计啊学生的出路啊什么的都不错 很想去读一下。 结果发现他们不接受别
的学校的full-time F1 student去读 这样我基本只有两个选择了 一个是干脆退学去念
这个MS 一个是继续PhD同时可能可以选一些他们的课 毕业了以后再去读这个MS
大家觉得如果我以后确实想做这方面的工作的话 哪种选择比较好呢？退学这个选项主要
就是觉得比较可惜 毕竟已经3年级了而且project也还算比较顺利 不过我对research确
实也没什么兴趣的说。。后面这个选项就得耽误很多时间 不过可以拿两个学位 （话说
这个PhD对工作会有帮助么？）。
大家给我提点意见吧:) 很纠结。。谢谢啦 |
