There are some in downtown richmond and west side. |

发帖数: 155 | 3 看地图 Glen Allen 好像在33附近，距离95还不远，可是 West Creek PKWY 是在
288边上，看起来差不少路呢。那个地方属于 goochland county 了。
在网上查半天，只有 Richmond.com 区域分得很详细，有 far west end, 只可惜
那里人气太差，广告一条都没有，:( |

感觉可以用破和旧两个字形容。
一条横贯东西的64，真的是满脸疙瘩。
许多新铺的路，路面也不是水平的，
多呈波浪状，在上而跑有如坐船。
还有就是，明明可以取直线的马路，
却硬要修成S形。
最明显的是WEST END
上的COX ROAD，不到1迈半，
居然有十几个弯道。
以为到了摩洛哥的F1赛道。
VCU的校园就更惨不忍睹，
去了国际学生办公室一趟，
那不是危楼是什么？ |

two years.:) Life quality is not bad at all other than simple life style.
Some people call it "boring".
but richmond real estate market has nearly doubled in recent years though. |

发帖数: 275 | 9 个人感觉RICHMOND的DOWNTOWN和DC的差不多了。据老居民说已经改善很多，有些地方都重
开发成高级住在区了。：)
CHARLOTTESVILLE去过了，漂亮很漂亮，住久了还是有点闷的，呵呵。

met any Chinese who complains about safety here. I thought opposite when I
first moved down here.
But people do complain the simple lifestyle. I think it should be people's
major concern.
The latest big biz buzz is that Philip Morris is relocating headquarter to
Richmond. Potentially, Wachovia may build an office for their brokerage.

a better option. DC is more fun. Cost is also higher. But living in Richmond
doesnot prevent you getting a job in DC either. I personally like the location
of GMU.:) |

C. So I would suppose there is a chinatown in Richmond and you can get some
info there.

值得买，他就住在那附近，准备买第二套了。是不是这个区是附近最好的，怎么看学区什
么的？
我刚搬到Richmond不久，对这里也不太熟悉，犹豫着是买townhouse or single house.旧
的single family house 在west end也差不多这个价。
在本区考古了下，没太多的讨论，问题多多，看来还得好好学习 |

漂浮起来，互相碰撞，一些就开始哀鸣，还有的车居然飘到另一辆车的上面，真是太惨了
...
第二天，有些车行就开始拖车了，太多的车子被毁掉了。估计至少几千辆，Dealer 们最
高兴了，可以漫天要价啦。
很多人花了4 hour then reached their home. Traffic jam, and many roads are
closed. Some hospital was power off too, sigh... |

It is very difficult to rent a car, all the rental cars are in duty.
Several colleagues of mine told me their cars are salvage cars after being
flooded. A students put textbooks worth 300$ in the car, now they are ruined
too. Several Ph.D students are crying since the cell they cultured passed away
because no power for their lab for 2 days. They can't graduate in this Fall...

Many crime happened in Fan and East.
If you have kids, West End is a nice place to live.
