当时看车的时候问有没有carfax的报告，dealer说没有，车没问题，就2个owner。试车
感觉也还过得去，下了200定金让他换新轮胎。本来说好要了昨天要去提车的，结果昨
天他说轮胎没有换好。让今天去。昨天晚上查一下vin，发现好像有些问题，然后给他
打电话，他问有什么问题。就把autocheck上的问题都告诉他了。到那的时候，他首先
问我们在那里查的vin，然后才把打印好的carfax拿出来的。问为什么和autocheck查的
不一样，他说所有的dealer只认carfax，其他的东西是垃圾，不可信。 |

17丶VIN Report：
名词解释：
Accident
事故记录！只能看到事故的时间和类别，不能看到具体原因丶程度，若需详细情况，
需要购买专门的Accident report，但不值得。还是机械检验相对靠谱一些。
每有一次小事故记录，车子大概贬值5%-10%！
只要车子还是Clean title，这样的车子仍然值得入手！不过也要考虑将来卖车的问题。
Clean Title
正常的Title，大家基本只买此类车。
Salvage Title
此车曾经大修过（一般是因为严重事故），而且当时的修理总费用超过汽车残值的50%
（不确定具体数字）。
Rebuilt Title
比Salvage Title更严重！貌似超过残值80%。
Frame Damage
框架损坏！不建议购买！
Rental/Fleet record
此车曾经被用作商务车，比如租车公司的车。
Emission Test
尾气排放测试，此为德州州检的一部分，正常现象！
Lien/loan

发帖数: 16592 | 43 我当学生时候，买了一个GEO prizm，5年的车对方要3000块，一般会要3500，就是左边
门有个不太明显的坑，一看是个小事故造成的，不严重，不修不影响开。所以觉得挺合
算的。当时也不懂啥Carfax，开出去跑了跑，觉得还成就买了。开了几年，没啥毛病，
长途（FL-IN,FL-NC, FL-TN, IN-MN来回）也开过许多次，里程从买来的4万多开到8万
多。
毕业找到工作准备卖换部车，结果，对方一查说我的车问题很大，是salvage title啥
的，还把carfax发给我。其实人家定金都交了，我赶紧退回给人家，之前我自己也不知
道。然后就不好意思卖了，又开了2年，开上10万了，还是没有问题，可是我实在不想
再开这个车了，和同事出去吃饭啥的很突出，就600块钱卖给修车的了。
我那个车除了salvage title，也是rollback的里程，好像还是rebuilt的engine，还被
flood过，反正carfax惨不忍睹，不过开了那么多年（5年多），几乎没花钱维修过。我
觉得纸面上的那些可以参考，不过不见得真的一定就那么坏。 |

记得买全保，说不定啥时候撞坏了，这个车再total一次，钱就回来了。
教训是一定要查VIN,我碰到一个车，210k了，被rollback to 110k, carfax showed
the right miles.
http://52internet.net/carfax, 这个地方$6查一次，instantly get the report,如果着急买车，用它最合适。 我刚刚买了辆２手车，用这个网站查的carfax
有好心的兄弟提供免费autocheck,就是稍慢了点。也可以用。 |

车odometer rollback几千迈有意义吗？
来才了解到，原来卖车这个人是私人车贩子。本来我也不信。于是我就去查看了卖车那
里的帖子。发现这个人在近一年同用户名发帖卖过6-7辆车子。{不包含原帖已被删除的
}，他卖车没有任何问题。可是问题是。他卖的车子有问题。并且隐瞒车子问题。来进
行谋取暴利。
出了问题。说是rebuilt title。
我不知道他有没有做假的carfax给我，不过。后来打电话我问。我自己做了autocheck
，autocheck显示2011年10月有一项事故可是carfax却没有，我问什么事故。卖主说他
不清楚。随后挂电话。自此联系不上了。打电话通可是没人接。（如果说事故比较久了
卖主说不清楚我可以理解。可是事故发生在2011年10月。这才4个月的时间。）
不要跟我一样受骗。如果不是银行汇款不成功。。我想我们已经是用$7200买了我们并
不想要的车子 |

发帖数: 82 | 46 最近看了一部车， 2004年的Lexus ES330， 车主真心觉得是个开夜总会的哥们，满嘴
的pia pia pia，说这个车最适合，你懂得。。。 开始试驾了一下，除了油门软，刹车
软，貌似没大问题。今天用carfax查了一下，竟发现是second owner有一个potential
odometer rollback. First owner 最后是47k second owner开始注册时时35k。 现在
这哥们是第三任车主，今年2月21刚买的车，说是从dealer那花了12k买的。title是
lien report，现在就要卖掉，说是因为expense太高（是因为夜总会开销大咩）。
现在的miles是86k 车主开价10，000. 真心觉得整个情况比较乱，求高人指导，这车能
买不。 |
