有两个R01，那么salary cap是原来那个数（接近20万），还是乘2（接近40万）？

之间差别很大的，我母校那边同一个系不同方向都差别很大。
你找找看你们系最近几年跟你方向接近的新AP的salary，这样的才有参考价值 |

小弟知道NSF的policy是每年最多给两个月的summer salary，那要是小弟同时在state
agency或是industry有项目，可以在NSF的project拿两个月，然后在别的project再多
拿一个月吗 （这样summer总共拿3个月，小弟是9-month faculty）。
另外如果start up 里面额外还有2个月summer pay怎么办？可以同时拿吗？这样总共就
5个月了。。
另外的另外，如果summer还上课，有额外的课时费怎么办？可以都拿了吗？这就总共将
近6个月了。。
如果有些拿不了怎么办呢？主要是这些projects都要expire了 （NSF的已经延过一次了
，其他的project总共就一年，start up倒是还可以再延一年，毕竟自己学校好说话）
，不知道如果今年summer pay如果拿不完怎么办，难道就没有了？很头疼。。 |

刚刚onsite了一家，比我现在的公司大很多，在第二轮面试时被问到salary
expectation，按教材，把球踢回去，问他们给我这个水平的多少，结果他们给出的数
字比我现在拿的还少，当时也没多想，就给了个比我现在工资稍微高一点的报回去，可
能比他们给的多10%，结果现在得到消息，以经济原因宣布最近不招人。
后来想一想，当时报钱可能是个失误，但如果别人问到你的预期，甚至也给出了他们的
数字，如果你当时没反应，如果等拿了offer 还可以再negotiate ？还是应该在当时就
给出自己的预期？
ps，是在因为公司的牌子响，如果必须可以牺牲一下自己salary的前提下 |

NEGOTIATION是找共同点, 不是双方搞对抗. 如果你是大牛, 对方不要你是因为人家没

另外就是尊重自己, 尊重对方, 首先表明这个工作对自己和公司都有好处, 然后说

offer。给的工资我个人觉得还可以，主要是自己从一个小地方刚来到湾区，加上薄厚
的工资又低，所以刚拿到offer时有强烈的愿望想要立即接受。
网上的十大salary negotiation 错误中的第一条是不进行negotiation. 根据payscale
的调查结果显示，他们给的base salary处于当地同等职位的中间水平。
刚刚电话我的staffing representative，首先表达了感谢之意和对这个职位的浓厚热
情，然后说对benefits package很满意，但提出根据我对工资水平的调查，要求工资上
调5K to commensurate with my qualifications, and the values I will bring to
the company. HR 的原话是："恐怕很难，因为hiring manager 已经很认真地考虑了多
方面的情况，这应该是最reasonalbe的offer.不过我会試着代表你和hiring manager谈
