我工作快10年了, 换过3个单位. 从health care跳到consulting firm再跳到银行. 都
是分析师的职位. 被面试无数, 也面试过无数人. 这么多要求SAS的职位没有哪一个地
方是一定要求SAS证的. 一般简历上写了会SAS, 面试的时候随便问几个SAS的问题过了
就行. 我不觉得大家的SAS证会给找工作带来多大的帮助, 那些刁钻的SAS问题, 也不会
给你的实际工作带来多大帮助. 我只是觉得大家花钱花精力去考这个证真的是很划不来.
对于统计师这个职位来说SAS证是不是一个plus, 是! 但是它是一个非常非常小的plus.
基本可以忽略不计.

的Java系，多是先有一个比较周全的架构，通过有序的新生、继承和变异，逐渐扩展膨胀
的，语言元素之间有比较规范的关联。而SAS的语系虽有局部的架构，但就全局而言，主
要是自发形成，也就是20多年的堆积和承袭。其实这也自然，SAS的应用领域靠近最终用
户，模式千变万化，很难现有周全架构，只要有可行解就行了，而很多有组织的语系比较
靠近系统底层，实际范畴比较集中，比较容易研究出架构。
因此，SASOR们的武艺和兵器往往是门派繁多，千变万化，但是很难有那种18般兵刃样样
精通的武林宗师（如果那位知道有，麻烦通知一下，我们好沐浴焚香去拜）。
粗浅的印象是，SAS语系可以大致如下划分：
国语：Base语系
这是SASOR们不分阶级不分贫富都可以讲的话，里面就包含了常说的Data Step，Proc
Step和Macro。SAS的基础语言元素主要是在这里演进而来。这个语言可以说是七十和八十
年代面向过程处理语言的扛鼎之作，甚至还带有浓郁的非结构化色彩；难得的是SAS公司

用的全部是SAS中提供的基本函数和程序以及SAS的编程语言，特别是MACRO功能。
当然，人们可能会否认我构建了一个新的算法，因为我使用的都是现成的数学和统计函
数。但是，在我的方法中确实有新的统计测量公式被构造出来的，更重要的是我提出了
一个完全新的完整的分析逻辑系统，根据这个逻辑系统我们可以达到最终目的——确定
两个随机临界点的期望从而得到一个三分回归模型组。
正是在上述方法论的构建过程中，我逐渐发现现行的分段回归分析法，包括spline等，
在统计理论上是根本错误的，尽管它们从数学理性的角度看是合理的。
我想重申一下，我不是SAS expert，我只会那些我需要的部分，当然，如果需要使用新
的方法，我会到Help中去找，那里有非常详细的解释和实例应用。只要你有基本的统计
学知识，看懂和掌握一个新的方法（无论它正确与否）的SAS应用一般不会有问题。

I will type the following command on Unix -

在Academic,不知journal paper上用R做统计结果权威性和SAS比如何？
在性能上，只要R是memory based,就不会对SAS造成根本性的威胁，虽然it有外部
database的支持。

感觉现在sas的考试类型还真花哨。感觉，除了base，advanced以外，其他考试也挺有用的，不知这

他有一个中国的ICC公司，他给一些中国刚毕业的学生介绍SAS programmer工作，这些
人得到offer， 他们要和那公司签 C to C contract. 这样就等于Mike 的ICC 公与那
家公司签合同， Mike 给这个中国学生办H1b。至于说干多少年我就不知道了。 这些
学生就是Xie的雇员。按说这一点问题没有呀， 就是一个recruiter公司。谁让我们刚
毕业没有身份，不认识什么人。Mike Xie 视乎做了件好事。 可是让我说说 Mike Xie
怎么把人买出去的。 他的公司其实就是在Priceton 租个apartment， 没牌子， 估计
