发帖数: 3857 | 2 在Netflix里看到早年成立的美国Army 10th Mountain Division，居然是专门滑雪,爬山的部队，夏天爬山，冬天滑雪，不知道谁想出这样的好主意，说服美国总统成立这样的部队，国家出钱让你天天ski，爬山，当时一下子把世界各地的ski，登山好手全吸引来了，最早的“军训”营地就是今天的Colorade 的 Vail Mountain，我们今天去那里住一天要二三百块钱的地方。。。还要自己花一百钱另买滑雪票！
这支部队的退伍老兵开创了Vail Ski Resort等几十个北美的Ski Resort，北美的高山登山协会也是他们创办的，很多开创了Ski school和Ski的运动器材公司，连Nike公司都是他们部队的老兵开的。。。
这个片子的名字叫“Fire on the Mountain”。
看完这个片子，我觉得中国也应该成立一支这样的队伍，尤其是目前来自印度的威胁越来越大，没有这样的队伍还真不好捍卫我们的领土。 |

案. 是因人而异. 我两个都滑,给你讲讲我的一点感受吧.不全,因为打字太累了.:-)
snowboard: boots 走路舒服, 手里只拿一件板子, 很容易从停车场走到lift.但滑起来
是横着走的, 在下雪天,容易white out.还有就caught edge很难调整,马上摔跟头,有时
候很突然. 但snowboard 有很多好玩的tricks, 玩terrain park比较好.
ski:boots 走路很艰难,不舒服,手里有两个poles,两个skis. 优点是滑起来的方向比较
自然. 不太象snowboard 那样突然摔跟头. ski 滑起来可以比snowboard快,Traverse比
snowboard容易. 滑mogul 比snowboard容易,而且更有趣.由于新的skis近年来改进很大
,玩terrain park一样有趣.
至于哪个更酷,哪个滑好了都很酷.
至于教授说年青滑snowboard,老黄历了.现在反倒更多的小孩学ski.让你教授看看这篇

perfect for ski, I would like to see if there are other ski amateurs

Weather wise, it would be shiny dry days on Thursday (46-28F) and Friday (46
-27F) and snow on Saturday (28-16F) and Sunday (30-19F) with a reasonable
low outdoor temperature to keep the snow staying. I rarely saw this perfect
ski weather in NC/TN area.

像我目前的情况该如何提高，如何规划下个Season的Ski。
一、基本参数
身高168cm，体重60~65kg，Ski长度153cm，Boots的Flex是75。
二、学习经历
1.15~16 Season
是第一个Season。第一次滑是报了一个Ski Lesson，什么都不懂，摔得蛮厉害。休息了
一个月才滑第二次，第二次把附近小雪场的绿道大多数刷完了，虽然很生硬，也摔了两
跤。之后又在另一个大些雪场刷了些绿道。再滑了两次，觉得绿道刷得有点熟练了，就
很生硬地试着用Snowplough下简单的蓝道，主要还是在绿道上。总共自己练了8次。雪
季快结束的时候，已经可以用一只脚站立，用Parallel Turn下蓝道及简单的蘑菇蓝道
了。感觉有点像跑步。
2.16~17 Season
这个Season一开始，去下了上个Season没有下成功的比较陡的蓝道，想不到，大半年没
有Ski，居然一次下成功了。但还是觉得绿道比较comfortable一点。又滑了5、6次，开

You can get a cheaper one from amazon.
The skis have been used for years so they are not flawless, but there is no
major dent or big scrach on it. Condition is ok. It's good for beginner
because you don't need to worry about scraching/damaging a set of new skis
and it's much cheaper than renting a season. When you level up your skills,
you can get rid of it next year. |

ski poles. 奇怪的是这套装备还挺合我身的。用自行车头盔，内戴抢银行用的那种只
漏眼睛鼻子的头套。加上普通近视镜和clip-on sunglasses. 没关系，我不是唯武器
论者。我人民解放军以小米加步枪都能战胜美帝的飞机大炮。
上周日我在Snowbird Chickadee，是很冷，12F，车都要发动不起来了。但滑起来倒不
觉得很冷，可能因为Chickadee还不算在山上。
昨晚天气好，我就去了Brighton night skiing. 第一次误入蓝道，靠倒地停住，然后
卸了ski走下最陡的那段，真TMD狼狈加丢脸。后来熟练了，可以可控地从蓝道下来，但
两腿很吃力，像要断了是的。估计再去一两次就可以轻松下蓝道。 |

滑雪是一项投资比较高的运动，涉及的器材和装备比较多。经常有初学的朋友问须要准备
什么。今天因天气原因不能出去滑雪，在这里和大家分享一下自己的经验和从朋友及网站
上学到的知识，有不对的地方恳请批评指正。也希望此文能使初学者在着装和器材方面少
走点弯路。
以下主要是以在美国东海岸滑雪为背景，其他地区因雪场和气侯的不同未必完全适合。

具体是ski还是board都要专门说明
至于ski还是board，完全看个人爱好
比较多人公认的说法是ski 入门容易一些，board难一些，到了中级水平ski难一些，
board容易一些。 learning curve不一样
你可以去youtube 上搜一些ski和snowboard的视频看看具体区别
至于你自己会喜欢哪个，只有试了才知道 |

发帖数: 991 | 31 这周末试了试我的SKI。 凑合能用吧。 缺点是太轻， 不够厚实稳重， 遇
冰就打百子，速度快的时候就好象脚下踩空一样， 感觉不到它的SUPPORT 。 我小
心翼翼的时候还好， 但到了缓坡想撒丫子跑的时候冷不丁就折我两跟头， 很痛。
第二天就去租了HEAVENLY $20/DAY的SKI，感觉是要比我买的好些 (我买的那种在
HEAVENLY也有租， $10/DAY)。
$50一副装配， 没啥好抱怨的了。 也算是体会了一下不同SKI的效果。 至少下次
去KIRKWOOD滑的时候， 不用再被那里的RENTAL黑店宰了 (什么破SKI都$36/DAY，
太贵了)。
总结一下：买SKI就象找老公， 要找稳重可靠的。 不过， 话说回来， 灵活性也
很重要。 不幸的是， 灵活与稳重往往是此消彼长， 不可兼得， 需得权衡利弊，
三思而行。 |

ski single black diamond most of the time and occasionally harder trails.
mostly ski in NE and not that much powder to speak of around here. talked to a
couple of sales man in ski shops and they are trying to talk me into spending
$700-800 on skis which i think it's a little too much. i think i am more opted

对ski一点概念都没有。以前随便买个一个旧板，160cm，呵呵
LD就是在groomed上滑，最近打算把平行转弯练好，但总是有些力不从心，所以打算给
她买个合适的。买小了怕明年水平提高了板又不合适了。
这个板（FISCHER Vision Allure）算是carving ski 吗？
caving ski=宽板？

ski的入门很简单 但是真正滑好 最少要2年吧
snowboard入门很难 换刃熟练了至少摔残几次 但是一旦会换刃了 想滑出漂亮的carve也
就容易了
【freestyle】
snowboard做freestyle更容易 上手更快 无论是jump or box&rails
ski玩freestyle需要很强的腿部力量，每次jump之后，没有力量，就不可能把板子调好
。但是ski的freestyle高手绝对可以完成所有boarder高手能做的动作（除了butter是b
oard特有的）
【GS/Slalom】
ski的优势实在太明显了，启动时可以加速，carve也不会有太多打滑，即使雪面很多
冰。毕竟比board在转弯时多一条刃着地啊。

other than K2, have "Made in China" labels on them, in the REI stores,
especially those current season skis. Skis are on display, not many bindings
are.
The ski designs, materials, manufacturing technologies are more of a factor
than manufacturing process in making skis. This is very similar in making
golf clubs as well.

这是给钻风看的。
qmc虽然自称滑雪高手，实际水平却很让人失望。不过我从来没有针对她发什么帖子，
倒是她看见我从书上摘抄来的句子后非要认为是我编的，见我谈了练习体会后又认为我
是含沙射影的骂她。等我把出处扫描了贴上来，她就正式把我当仇敌了。
人敏感到这个地步上，当版主就实在不合适了。
她现在还在ski版上m了她在ski video里面出现的时间，号称没有任何问题的，结果我
辛苦半天提的善意意见都被她给删了。qmc要是不服，贴过来看看哪里违反你的和谐了？

the slope:) It was so icy that the break on the binding could not even stop
it. It was not supposed to release since I was just jumping over a bump. I
was lucky since it was the uphill ski that decided to bail, otherwise, it
would have been me tumbling down instead of the ski. I was surprised to be
standing after the ski dropped.
BTW, it was nice to ski with you guys at last. You guys are the dare devils!

发帖数: 2274 | 40 说到ski长短我想问一下。每次去租ski，人家都会问我要什么型号，我自己也 说不上
来，就说自己是beginner，第一次给了我一个短的，120吧，还跟我解释说短的好
control，第二次给的是130， 第三次还是给的120. 我自己的感觉是，短的好转弯些，
但是长的更容易控制速度。我比了一下，120的头尖，130的头圆，130中间部分有点往
中间收的弧度，120中间的弧度不明显。第三次去snowsummit，在坡上能看到一层雪下
面蓝绿色的冰，转弯的时候ski刷刷的往下滑，要使劲用ski的边蹬才能转过来，转过来
之后速度就慢了，但是还是有点打滑。肯定我自己的技术有问题，但是和ski的长短形
状有关系吗? 下次去应该要120还是130？ |

发帖数: 138 | 41 I demo 3 pairs of skis with waist of 85-88mm. I know I am happy with them on
groomers but wish a little bit better performance on powder. It is opposite
when I skied on 102mm (waist) skis. I never get chance to try one with
waist between 90 and 100mm which I expect it may give me the optimal result
on both in- and off-piste.
When I skied on 102mm (underfoot) skis on groomers, I had to give little bit
more effort to make a usual turn.

the AC30, and asked for a powder pair. Got 180 Salomon Shogun. In one ski,
it has Mark Abma's quote "Bamboo is better" in silver color. Vail snowed the
entire day non-stop. The whole mountain was practically empty with heavy
snow and wind. We decided to ski Avanti in the morning, then headed to
backside after lunch. What a day! It took me a couple of runs to get used to

发帖数: 138 | 43 I am interested in buying this skis (Nordica Hot Rod Helldiver, http://www.nordica.com/site/ski.php?site=2&lang=1&id=21) but have concern about its lenght. The smallest size is 170cm, which is 5 cm taller than my height.
Will it be too long? From what I read, the length of skis could be longer
than you height if you skill is advanced and if it is a all-mountain (fat?)
skis.
My current skis are 160cm with 70mm waist (also Nordica). I am a advanced
skier with 20+ days each season, mostly in Tahoe |

发帖数: 1285 | 44 One thing that I don't understand and don't agree with is about Deer Valley'
s being ranked #1 every year from Skiing/Ski Magazine.
I never enjoyed skiing at Deer Valley. Maybe it has lots of top scale
restaurants and lots of ski-in-ski-out vacation houres there to make it #1?
To me, the resort's trail design and lift design is far from good.
IMO, Whistler should be the #1, Vail be the #2, and Park City #3. |

转让今天3月中才买的ski carrier，就去了几次tahoe。
4月末就卸下来放家里了。就用了2个月，我擦洗了一下，跟新的一样。

It really depneds on: where you ski, how you ski, what level you are in,
how long you want to keep those skis, and how many pairs of skis you want to
own. |

发帖数: 229 | 47 came back from gunstock with icy condition again
went to a same ski shop offered the free demo in the morning and asked for a
tune. First did the "Premium Tune"
- Side Edge Belt Finished
- Base Finished with ScotchBrite Tuning Belt
- Our Race Grind structure is applied
- WaxJet Finished
Then went to gunstock and skied 3 runs. Edge was a little better but still
far from the demoed volkl skis.
Went back to the shop again and did the "Ultimate Race Tune"

- Race Structure Applied

。由于人试图保持站立状态，Ski在平放和斜放时，切入雪面的角度是不同的，导致了
雪面对Ski反作用力方向的不同。滑雪过程中，人主要通过调整Ski切入积雪的角度来控
制速度和方向，摩擦力的作用是相当次要的。在这一点上，滑雪和滑水比较类似，但在
滑水运动中能够看得更加明显。
