stec 生产固态 data storage, 用于 enterprise level 的 sever 前段，为快速读取
。其最
大用户是 EMC. IBM, HP，DELL, & ORCL(acquired JAVA)是 enterprise sever 竞争对
手。如果 IBM 购买 STEC, IBM 自己不能完全消化 STEC 的生产量。IBM 现在更多向
software,
service 倾斜(同样 INTC-MFE, HP-PAR). 当前企业消费低，EMC 很萎。
STEC 技术上还领先一点，股价处于低谷，可斟酌。
我对 data storage 有些经验，在盯 WDC, STX, STEC, SNDK 这四个。有消息会来汇报
探讨一

1. no revenue, EMC is not ordering more drives untill late 2010 (expected)
2. time is not on STEC side, if sales are not picking up in the second half,
peer competition will drive the profit margin down going forward, although
CEO says "no pressure anywhere".
3. valuation: if we still believe 1.2 EPS for entire 2010, although STEC
itself expects a -0.1 EPS in the Q1, using a trailing P/E ratio 8, today's
price should be 9.6, which is already priced in, don't see much up side here. |

Q4's earning has been pretty much priced in, and it's in line with WS
estimates,
Now STEC expects a Q1 loss vs. 0.5 EPS estimate by the street as well as
decreased revenue, it prob wont recover until second half of 2010.
have some small piece of meat in it as investment, also thinking of what to
do with it... I was quite neutral on it... |

必须，属高端，但贵。
SSD属新兴，大小OEM 很多，竞争会越来越激烈。主要对手有STEC。与STEC 比，13.00
- 15.00 相当于其一半，应该算合理。
从中长期看，一则硬件不挣钱，二则技术更新快，竞争激烈，后面还有数十小公司等上
市，不好做。这个参看STEC。 |
