The story behind how the song was written in fact saved U2 from breakup.
The band had spent some time discussing whether or not they had finally
used up all of their creative energy and talent. Eventually, they decided
that they probably had, and Bono went to the mic and began playing this song.
The rest of the band began to play along, and they soon had a renewed faith

但是象U2, Radiohead, REM这些乐队,都属于入世的乐队, 所谓入世,就是关心社会上大多
数人的所想和所言, 他们在音乐里谈论政治, 甚至在社交活动中卷入政治, 出发点我觉得
无可厚非, 既不是出于所谓炒作的目的, 也不是为了赚取什么政治资本.
还是这句话,我们既不应该用政治去美化他们, 也不应该用政治去攻击他们. 讨论音乐,
让其他的走开.

本报记者 彭国宇报道 昨天，记者获悉，张靓颖将作为亚洲的唯一一名女歌手，与
U2、滚石、麦当娜同台，参加到呼吁世界和平的歌曲录制中。
张靓颖此次能够被选中，其中有一段小插曲。原来，担任靓颖首张专辑《The One
》三首英文制作的美国一流音乐制作人Craig Williams，在与靓颖合作期间，对这位来
自中国的年轻女歌手对音乐的领悟力及唱功赞不绝口。作为本次呼吁世界和平歌曲《
Give your love》的制作团队成员之一，他向该活动组委会力荐张靓颖参与录音工作。
经过多方考证，组委会正式发出邀请函，希望作为亚洲唯一被邀请参与录音的靓颖能在
2月赴美，进行为期三天的《Give your love》的录音工作。
据组委会透露：歌曲的录制完毕之后，2007年8月11日还将在美国举行《给和平一
个机会》的演唱会，张靓颖肯定出现在美国演唱会现场。全世界将有15个国家同时设立
分会场，预计全球将 |

特别特别喜欢这一首歌，
上大学的时候听到的，
听到反反复复的这一句的时候，觉得心好象随着歌一起在叹息。
那个时候正在做着一些决定，也是比较重大的决定了吧。
犹犹豫豫的徘徊在两难选择之间，
听了这首歌，突然就明白了自己真正想要的是什么了。
