400多。这家收费贵的医院号称是自己的医生是乳腺方面的specialist。 其他便宜的医

那些孩子看吧，过了几分钟，一个老师过来，让他们都坐下，说拿着铅笔不能乱跑。孩
子们不愿意坐，
老师就把笔收走了。
我呆了一会儿，看到一个小孩拿起一个扫落叶的耙子玩。那个很小，是给小朋友设计的
。他把耙子翻过
来，金属的那头朝上，舞来舞去。耙子头油漆都掉了，也不圆滑，是直角，还有几根金
属条都歪了。我
心惊胆战地看了足有10分钟，实在忍不住了，告诉老师那个东西很危险，她就拿过去，
扔在墙角了，一
句话也没和我说。

然后有点着急就去套了教授（department chair），
谈了些专业问题。
然后他说还有希望，邀请我去campus visit.他说他整个四月
都有时间，最好是周五，让我选个时间。我周五都有时间，
纠结的是应该4.15之后去呢，还是之前去。之前去，还不
知道其他人接受offer了没，很可能竹篮打水一场空。之后去
又怕有offer被别人拿走了。
申请的学校少，现在还在一个牛校的waiting list上，不过
不抱什么希望了。而且那个学校离这里（LG）也挺远的。
想请教下各位应该选哪个日期去campus visit.可选日期有
4.8，4.15，4.22，4.29 |

Some people told me it is not possible; some told me the stay in Canada/
Mexico has to be longer than 30 days; some told me the entrance to Canada/

一次是去巴哈马cruise 9天，一次是去加拿大7天。
再次入境美国的时候巴哈马那次重新敲了入境章，并给我新的I94，
加拿大没敲章，没给I94.
我的问题是那previous US Visits要把这2次旅游重新入境也算进去吗？也就是算3次入
境?
还是巴哈马敲章的那次算，加拿大回来入境没敲章就不算？算2次入境？
还是2次短期出境旅游统统不算，就写4月份的1次入境就行了？

果说是H1b的。问了一堆问题，主要是干什么，学位是啥，工资到底多少，然后拍了张
办公室照片。让我回头发W2，ID，学位，paystub还有一个brief introduction of job
duty 给他们。
公立大学教职，没想到还会被USCIS visit。带她过来的校警给系里面秘书说是FBI的人
，搞得系里面以为我犯啥事了 |

问题： 对于一个renewable up to 5 years 的Visiting Assistant Prof.职位可不可

要求办理H1B和马上sponsor绿卡申请？且不说这个谈判的要价高不高，就说USCIS的政
策允不允许？我查了EB2上没提要求permanent full-time job offer, EB3则明确说要
求permanent full-time job offer。一个VAP renewable up to 5 years 算是
permanent job 么？
背景信息：
最近面了两个学校，学校A是稍微好点的学校，但是visiting Assistant Professor,
renewable up to 5 years。这个职位是替代系里一个去做学校Dean的老师，因为
tenure line在他手里，所以只能雇VAP替他，因为工会的规定，又只能雇VAP同一个人
最多5年。系里说第一年的review比较重要，但也没有tenure那么intense, 过了第一年

embassy in USA cannot issue visa because our US visa has expired (we'll
visit Japan on the return trip). Japan embassy in China requires tour visa
application through local tour agencies and the tour agencies refused to

给她申请的social visit最多30天，想到ICA延到89天，想请教有经验的朋友延到89天
的机率高不？因为听说入境海关可能会查返程机票，所以需要在她到之前定回程，现在
不知道是定14天，30天，还是89天的稳妥。
另外如果延期很难，可以定到香港或深圳的短途，然后马上再申请新的social visit入
境吗？再申请签证是不是需要她出境以后才能提交？出境和入境的间隔时间有规定吗？

今天早上8：30左右打通了ICA的电话（果然刚上班的时候比较容易），线上等了不到10
分钟和officer说上话。态度还可以，不过后面我问题太多，说只能和我说这么多了 :P
她给我的信息是这样的，供以后有类似疑问的朋友参考：
1.非直系亲属只能申请30天延期，也就是入境后最多连续待60天。申请可以网上提交，
要在入境两周以后。兄弟姐妹的情况“可能”延到89天，case by case。
