刚刚Comcast的technician来家里装了网络，他说我不能用wireless因为是自己买的
modem，要用wireless的话得跟他们买modem。我说那我就用cable好了。但是他走了之
后我发现可以用wireless，而且没有密码。然后想自己设置一个密码但是不清楚怎么搞。
我的modem是Motorola SBG900。希望大家指点，多谢了。 |

每次关掉modem/router再打开，就可以连接上；否则，无论重新启动机器，disable/
enable wireless，ipconfig /renew等等都不能work。
到底怎么回事呢？为什么我关掉再打开router就可以了呢？

router 接在dsl modem上就可以了，现在同样的方法不行了，只能重新按照router
installation CD重新设置好了。
可是现在的情况是：Installation CD说wireless检测好了也设置好了，可是这是在
modem连接router,router再一根cable连接电脑的情况下是没问题的，现在我把router
和电脑连接的cable一拿掉，用wireless上网就不行了，这怎么回事呢？

利于找工作的课程。具体情况如下：
系里要求这2周选课，必须要选一门core course，一个是fundamentals of wireless
communication,一个是physics of semiconductor devices.
我以前有semiconductor的背景，所以类似的课程都修过，再修一次有点浪费，而且再
考虑到半导体这块工作现在也不好找，打算选wireless communication,比较偏软一点
，但是貌似大家都说通信这块也死了。
挺发愁的，因为有可能下学期要自己掏学费，所以想尽可能的选择对找工作有帮助的。
我在现在的学校搞的学的都有点偏软，但是还是和wireless communication一点不沾，
可能就matlab code能用到一点。
大家好心给点建议吧！ |

我也是WIRELESS方向的PHD，第四年结束，也在沉痛的思考工作的问题。楼上的人说的
学界和工业界GAP很大，我非常认同，实在是个很无奈的现实。
我认为WIRELESS的范围也很广，大体可以分为
1. 做物理层的，如信息论或者通信理论，可以见trans on IT和trans on comm. 上的
分类
2. 做网络的（EE），搞各种优化，scheduling，capacity，做ad-hoc, sensor,
cognitive radio, cellular等等就不一一列举了，有的数学很多，问题也可能是自己
造出来的复杂问题。
3. 做网络的（CS）。CS的偏向于系统方面的实现，如MOBISYS, SIGCOMM和近几年的
MOBICOM都是这个趋势，idea都是很新的，也至少要有个implementation出来。
讨论Wireless是否好找工作，我看还是要分以上几种人来看，可能各自去的公司也不一
样。我感觉，应该还是“3”最好找工作一些，毕竟动手能力有，而且更偏向于工业界

WIRELESS要复杂的多，调制，解调，信道估计，自适应调制，功率控制，射频电路的软

要是想学RF，就看看电磁场，微波，射频电路的书就可以了。主要是射频电路。

左右，无限通话短信，10个人分15GB data。因为搬走了，而且公司现在把 wifi 关掉
了，所以想换一个 prepaid 流量多的计划，最好是30块左右。手机是无锁 moto x
pure。知道版上的大家都在玩自由泡和R+，但实在是对 VOIP 和 sprint 无感。。。目
前看中的就下面四个计划，求比较：
Total Wireless $35 5GB data plan
优点：35刀5GB流量，无限通话和短信，流量用完了可以花10刀充3GB，新冲的 data 可
以 roll over。是V家的MVNO，信号覆盖有保障。
