through one wall. In this case, it's 3 times faster than my previous G
router. The indicated rates fluctuate from 115Mbps to 180Mbps, never reached
300Mbps. I guess 5G penetrates less than 2.4G, but is there a way to boost
the signal a bit more? I don't remember if there is a way to hook up an
external antenna. Even if I can't use antenna, this is already good enough
for 2~3 simultaneous x264 1080p streaming. Will check |

U cannot handle that much data through smb to the attached USB harddrive.

much faster if I move my laptop into the same room.

十米左右的距离，2.4G的信号强度是good，11mbps，5G的强度是fair，6mbps。试着拷贝
，速度只有1MB/s，还不如以前的的俩Buffalo WHR-G125。
准备退掉了，看来只有拉线才是王道。 |

green drive in raidz1.
Cifs transfer between server and window7 client is about 45~55MB/sec with no
jumbo frames enabled. Router does matter a bit, I was getting 30~40MB/sec
with my DGL-4300, but now I'm extremely happy with my WNDR3700.
The first thing I tried on this system actually was FREENAS with ZFS. It
wasn't impressive. Then I tried ubuntu64. I was getting 65~70MB/sec on the
same hardware in raid5 with DGL4300 router |

另外，就算能做photo frame，你总要拖根网线，电线可以集成到网线里去，总不好挂

电视的线只有在客厅router附近才有，俺又想在卧室的笔记本上用USB HDTV Tuner，那
么可以把该Tuner接到DIR-685上，然后用SharePoint就可以在卧室笔记本上用了。
俺本来也就没打算用它做photo frame，3" LCD is still too small. 只是觉得用它偶
尔来查看一下天气预报或者网络运行状态也不错，所以不会把它放在桌面上。 |

Linksys WMP600N PCI网卡都只能连到54MBps，相反，一片老得不行的Belkin PCMCIA卡
倒是能
连到270-300Mbps，信号强度没问题，满格或者接近满格。
一直到不到问题所在，最近想到看看网卡的技术参数，发现两片只能连到54M的网卡只
支持WPA2加密，而
不正式支持WPA加密，把加密改成WPA2，速度立马上到270-300，如果大家碰巧也有这个
情况，可以试
试。 |

如果你的pc都很uptodate->
粉果子的话推荐那个啥飞机场的extreme;
非果子粉, 建议上WNDR3700. |
