I need to export XML to XML by EXCEL 2010 in Win 7. I import XML file to
EXCEL 2010, then I need to make some changes and then export the changed XML
files.
I got the problem:
"Cannot save or export XML data. The XML maps in this workbook are not
exportable."
My question is simialr as
excel: Cannot save or export xml data. The xml map in this workbook are not
exportable
But, only the reasons for the problem are given there, no solutions. I am
new to XML.

这个问题对于高手再也简单不过了,可是我试了好多次就是行不通
我用SQL SERVER + XML template generate one XML file from URL directly
例如: http://localhost/myvisualfolder/template/sql2xml.xml?id=0001
用这个URL我在IE里可以得到一个显示正确的XML file.
问题是:
how to load this dynamic generated XML file?

目前 xml db 最为人诟病的就是 performance
抛开技术上的困难，xml 作为一个 data model
还是反映了很多实际应用中 relational model 难以处理的cases
比如最有名的就是 data exchange
还有 schema-less/flexible schema，传统 relational model 都是先设计 schema,
normalization, 然后 table partitioning
这在很多 applications 中都是不现实的，
比如 content management systems, messaging system, SaaS
xml 在这些场景就显的非常自然
回到技术上，xml db 也不是所有的都慢
oracle 的 claim 是对于 xml with static schema，性能还是很不错的
但是说回来，如果都是 static schema 的话，为什么还要用 xml 呢
relational model 就很好了呀 (除了需要 exchange)
所以对于 xml 需求并不是不存在

I am coding in C# .NET 3.5
Let's say I have a List, and an XML file with list if items.
What I want to do is compare the values of the two lists, and get the
difference.
I want two results, 1. items in List but not in XML, 2. items in XML but
not in List.
I can only think of looping through the List against XML, and another loop
for XML against the List.
Is there another way to do this quicker?

FOR XML is only in SQL Server.
Different relational database system has different XML support.
Oracle 9i does have quite some XML support. It has a XML datatype, and
provide quite some system functions to compose XML.
But I think the question may be two:
How to compose data from relational table into hirarchial XML documents,
and how to map XML schema into relational database.
For the latter, there is no fast way, you have to do it by hand.

Several problems with XML; IT industry on acid trip.
XML has several problems. It is slow to parse, it can result in big files,
it only describes what the data are and not how to handle them etc. But it
is a step in the right direction: we need to have a way to make programs
interact based on a common protocol. In other words, we have a problem (
