赶上个碧空万里、微风徐徐的初夏宜人周末，游玩Zurich的绝佳时机。
半小时火车直达Zurich站，气势恢宏的train station，若抹去缤纷七彩，顿有种进
入Chronicle of Narnia中火车站场面的恍惚之感。
到瑞士不到一周，感觉自己会大爱上这里。看看这鳞次栉比的磅礴建筑，心里涌起对上海
外滩的怀念，和国内繁华喧闹、游人如织场景的重温。
离开车站数步，就来到Limmat河。河水清澈见底，不时有飞鸟掠过，浮光跃金。
这半年，去过New York, Washington D.C.，而今，来到Zurich的天空下。如果
说纽约是美国人用一栋栋高耸入云的建筑打造出的人类征服自然的梦想和挑战，是一种明
晃晃的豪情、大气和时尚。那么华盛顿特区，则是美国人对自己开国、建国的历史及
spirit，用一种空旷、庄重、肃静的风格进行着铺陈表述。今番信步于Zurich，相对
于前面两个美国的城市，这里，同样是时尚、现代、井然有序，但却多了几分诗情画意，
及跟自然水溶交融的柔美。这种带历史厚重感，自然人文相映成趣的美，是最打动我的
境界。

easier to access from ZRH than from other German gateways, such as FRA and
MUC.Sample commute time from ZRH by train:
Zurich-Freiburg (Black forest) 1h45min
Zurich-Konstanz (Lake Constance) 2h-2h30min
Zurich-Lucerne 50min
Zurich-Bern 1h
Also, ZRH is the gateway for ski resorts. Some of them, like Saas Fee, are
open all-year-long. |

Zurich 是一个典型的欧洲中等城市, 工商业非常发达,被誉为finance of the
world, 飞机12点前准时到达Zurich国际机场, 我们拿拿临买了swiss
pass就坐火车出downtown.
Zurich最出名睇怕系那个建于1871年的火车站, 仿古罗马拱形建筑,还有一个室内地
下广场. Swiss的火车站都是开放式的, 没有人在门口剪票,基本你看到火车跳上去就可以
走了. 当然火车上有人查票啦.这种制度给我们省了不少时间,我们一般是看好schedule,
车一到站马上跳下来跑过别的站台跳上另一辆火车就可扬长而去..
火车站门口是著名的班霍夫大道,被誉为欧洲”第五大道”, 全部系世界名牌专卖店,
可惜我们去那天正值圣诞期间,
全部冇开,得个睇字…(其实有开都系得个睇字嗟…)..window sho |

——联华——中国特色物品，如筷子、调料等这里买最好
对中国人来说，还有两家叫“联华”的中国超市（150平米的样子），店方好象是潮州
人。有些中国特有调料、大米、面条啊什么的在那里买比较合适，比如酱油、香醋等
不到3CHF/500－600ml，袋装朴素（1个调料包的）方便面0.85CHF/袋。这里吃
的东西多自香港、台湾进口。一段时期是周末85折：

looks like closest station would be Zurich, Auzelg Ost by distance, but it
seems to be hard to walk for this station to the dance school. There is
another station Wallizellen, Herti which seems easier to walk.
The station at my office is Zurich, Scheweizer Ruck. It will take either 2
or 3 connections and about 40 to 50 minutes to get there...Gosh...this is so
slow, it's only 10km afterall. But I don't want to bother with a car for
such a short stay in Zurich.

我的工资是每月扣完deduction和税后4000美元，外加1900CHF，房子和utilities(
except phone)公司出，有鉴于美元不停贬值，我开始有点担心，不知道这个工资到底
如何。现在的合约是内部人事调动7个月，我想反正时间很短，应该关系不大吧...but
if this works out well, I might stay longer or forever. =)
另外，我上班在 Mythenquai 湖边，听说公司给找的 furnished flat 离公司越20-25
分钟步行，10-15分 tram，有人知道这是什么区吗？没有车方便吗？这附近热闹吗？
还有什么德语学校可以推荐的？我学high german就可以了，swiss german就先免了。
有人知道什么专门教国标舞的学校吗？最好是交通比较方便的，因为我没有车。还有我

1. Oerlikon Rolli's Steakhouse
Schaffhauserstrasse 352, Zurich 8050, Switzerland

吃牛排的好地方，价格便宜味道好。一个menu大概3-40/chf 左右。就在tram停车站后
面，这里经常人满为患，去之前得需要预约。
2.Oerlikon Dorflinde的亚威，也叫AsiaWay
超市兼餐厅，越南米粉什么还有一些wok,味道还不错.价格20-25/chf左右。
3.阳光餐厅(Yan Shushi & WOK)

自助餐，很干净但是种类有点少。不过跟其他瑞士中餐自助相比较已经算是不错的了。
中午2个人50左右，晚上100.这里还算性价比不错，

名的小餐厅，值得一试。 ：） |

发帖数: 7495 | 19 码头不远处，经过一沿街的parking lot，扫到一线BMW、奔驰、奥迪。看来要在
这里特立独行，惟有上老爷车了。
在瑞士买个165 CHF的全年半价卡，乘火车汽车轮船就能享受半价优惠。Zurich
lake的观光渡轮半价票很便宜，成人一趟4 CHF。6岁以下小孩免费。一上船，就看
到一群衣着体面的老人，在餐厅品红酒聚会聊天。这真是养老、度假的天堂。
下了船，ETHZ和Univ. of Zurich，就在码头不远处的山头上。

发帖数: 1579 | 24 今天白天去Subaru dealer那里买车，前面都还挺顺利的，后来被他们忽悠的，买了两
个service plan。
一个是Zurich Shield， 保护车的内部和外部清洁等，讨价还价结果是7年，499刀，
life time renewable。
另一个是comprehensive warranty，8 年/100,000 miles (我们每年开的不多），
pumper to pumper,0 deductible, 1555刀。
我们当时以为是厂家提供的warranty，回来后才发现这个好像是另外一个公司提供的。
请问大家有没有知道这两个plan的？第一个估计取消不了了，当时就给车做了一些
treatment，第二个如果是骗人的，我们还是可以取消的，请熟悉的同学帮忙指点一下
。这个warranty可靠吗？ |

很快收到email,是zurich那边发来的,瑞士 苏黎世
说看到我的信息,和他们那一个职位比较匹配
不是developer,是个IT部门的
我只是个master,也不是天才那种的 好几年也没研究什么算法
google的develop职位对我太难
但是我感觉这种面试,签证非常的麻烦啊
他说最后一次要onsite的,这样要请好几天假,而且我还有回美国签证的问题
去年是境内转换的
比较犹豫要不要开始联系面试,还没有phone screen呢
不知道是不是值得..
有没有人遇到过relocate到美国之外的情况? |

现在比较受欢迎的似乎是bellingua(?)的,要提前一些报名,因为人很多
学hochdeutsch就够了,Schweizer Deutsch没有标准书面语,也没有官方地位
等你德语水平差不多了自己听听也就会了

over 3k euro, including one month's storage. If I knew it'd be so expensive,
