Could anybody share sucess stories of moving from a staff accountant to a Sr
. accountant in corporates? There were a lot good stories in public
accounting firms, but few in corporate world.
From my own experience, I found it extremely difficult in this economy, I
have a master in accounting, Just finished the CPA exam, work under H1B,
some years of experience working as a staff accountant, looked very long
period of time for a job offer in the next level in a company. Almost always
got rejected when they knew I need a H1B transfer. Now I am wondering if I
need to try harder, what direction I need to go, or it really is something
against the odds.

发帖数: 125 | 2 Normally it's the fastest if you just jump to another company. But no green
card is a real barrier.....you can still keep trying but should focus your
hunting on companies relatively flexible with H-1B, such as local CPA firms
and small companies.
And you should really think about your plan about green card; or prepare
yourself for job hunting in China. | w******1
