USB devices also can be used with Macs that lack built-in USB hardware,
thanks to USB adapters for PCI and PC Card busses, but there may be some
incompatibilities in some cases because of differences between the iMac
ROMs and the ROMs of PCI Power Macs or PowerBooks. Keyspan's PCI card
includes USB driver software licensed from Apple, but you may need to
download USB software for other cards in the form of Apple's USB driver
Development Kit.
