middle of the screen. And also the screen is very dim, having lost much of
its brightness throughout the years.
Is the problem the LCD screen or possibly another hardware issue?
I went to the Apple apple and got the problem appraised then they said that
it's definitely the LCD nearing the end of its life. The total cost for
repair is around $310.

try ebay for the right panel and see whether it is cheaper

unibody的话要换就要整个背板跟屏幕总成一起换
早先的版本可以自己换面板,ebay上单独买应该是200usd左右
