The title is a bit trolling though, but I doubt that came from
consumerreports.

e-mail in our tests" part. Do you know what a complete sentence is?
Plus, you didn't provide a link. And CR requires subscription too. By your
standards, this is borderline bannable.

According to the test on web browsing: ipad2>>ipad1(with ios 4.3)>=xoom.
I am surpised CR didn't notice any significant speed improvement. I felt it
was pretty obvious. Safari load pages much faster, at least 50% on my count.
I brought my ipad to apple store and compared with ipad2.

without delay.
Also, Mail has a lot of animations. With these animations it is not easy to
notice the speed increase. Because it takes the same amount of time to do
the animation. But their assertion, in contrast to all the other reviews out
there, is silly, and likely trolling because of their history with iPhone 4
ATT and Verizon.
In the mean time, Arstechnica reviewed iPad 2 confirming significant speed
increase.

差远了。
所以苹果的工程师对CR的天线测评嗤之以鼻。
事实证明其实问题主要还是ATT覆盖太差。iPhone 4的天线有点两极化。
