Apple has been given approval to open new flagship stores in the cities of
Shenzhen and Chengdu, according to local government officials.
The Market Supervision Administration of Shenzhen Municipality said on its
website that Apple has permission from June 6 to operate a retail facility
in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen. It will be in the Yitian Holiday
Plaza, a local shopping mall.
An official with the Chengdu Industry and Commerce Administration confirmed
that a separate Apple flagship site for Chengdu in southwestern Sichuan
province was approved late last month. |
