Late June typically marks the time of year in which Apple retail store
openings begin to ramp up, and this year appears to be no exception with
three grand openings scheduled for this Saturday, June 30. The group of
three is Apple's largest batch of openings since seven stores opened in one
weekend last September. This week's openings include:
- Ridge Hill (Yonkers, New York): The new Ridge Hill store is located just
outside of New York City in Westchester County and is Apple's 17th retail
store in the state of New York, breaking a tie with Florida for the third
most-popular state for Apple retail stores behind California and Texas.
- CoolSprings Galleria (Franklin, Tennessee): Apple's CoolSprings Galleria
store in Franklin is roughly 15 miles south of downtown Nashville and about
the same distance in driving miles from the existing Green Hills store. The
new store will be Apple's fourth in Tennessee.
- Broadway (Sydney, Australia): The new Broadway store will be Apple's 14th
in Australia, with half of those located in the Sydney area. Australia is
Apple's fourth most-popular country for retail store construction behind the
United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.
All three stores will open to the public at 10:00 AM local time on Saturday. |
