People could find themselves similarly looking at the airplane engines,
after 10s of years of developing and catching up, China still have almost
same distance of the leading competitor in the field. Simply speaking, some
technology just takes the man-power PLUS time, it take years to mature and a
lot of man-power to achieve it.
The mistakes seems to be naïve, but they root in the fact that Apple is
everything but technology company. Map is not just an embarrassment, it is
a harbinger of the camel's back is broken.
There was rumor that Apple will do search. Well, it took Microsoft 10s of
years to achieve this stage, which is still yet to proven success/failure.
For apple to step into this water, apple will not have that luxury of time
to do so.
Even apple can start fixing Map by acquisition of the underdog after they
spent 5 years in catching up Map technology anyway, it is too late in some
of the game. Moreover, it will never be able to fix the broken machine on
the root
, especially to a closed "ecosystem" with wearing anti-trust handcuff. | w********2

When apple ditched Flash, it is also similar to ditching Google Map. H.264
video was very lacking. I like the look and feel of the Apple maps. So as
long as they can catch up with data soon, it will be a good move.

the data for apple.
It is pathetic for apple that does not understand the problem and trying to
provide the answer.
As to flash, there is no solution needed and let it die. However, this time,
the table has turned. It is not something that apple can let it die, or it
will die with it.
