Pay attention to the cop movement. A few points to remember:
1. Try to create distance from attacker
2. Use money/wallet to distract attacker, and keep talking to calm the
robber down.
3. Keep dominant hand away from attacker.
4. Engage only when attacker gun not directly point at you, and attacker is
somewhat distracted.
5. always carry loaded.
6. This is single handed shooting. I imagine most robbery cases are single
hand shooting because no time to present your weapon.
7. In this case, I would think striker-fire DAO action is better than SA/DA
for better first shot accuracy.
8. 70% robbery cases have more than two perpetrators. If all of them have
guns, it would be a bad day for the cop.
9. Fortunately, bad guys would most likely scatter once gun fight starts.
10. Don't think this can't happen to you. Gun point robbery can happen in
the north side of Chicago too.
11. Practice draw from holster. Practice fire from hip.
12. In defense situation, most target will be within 7 yds.
13. Also practice side stepping while drawing. In this way, you will force
your attacker to react.
