也不是特别想去，要不早就看了，也不用等到现在。奇怪为什么就是
没去看过。要说是人多站的太累吧，元旦的焰火人也不少，站的脚酸
腿疼，还看了两次。
Mardi gras 就象一个报时间的小鸟，每年都有跳出来叫一陈，告诉
我，又一年了，明年要不要去看呢？和谁去呢？ |

I saw it twice. But this year I did not go .
I think it is too political oriented.

Gay and lesbian parade. An annual event in early March.
Started from 16 years ago. Now not only Aus gays, but gays from all of
the world come to join this parade.
I guess it gradually chances to a public celebration.
All sorts of people go to see it, no matter whether they are gay or not.

I just checked, the following is from the

1978 The first Mardi Gras was a march held in June as the
finale to the activities of International Gay Solidarity
Day. It was to be a one off event. The marchers clashed
violently with the police and many were arrested.
So, it should be more than 16 years but is 23 years.
How do you like it, do you think it worth watching with
standing there 5 more hours?

Well, if you have not watched it before, it is worth to have a look.
You will find that some people are really different to yourself
and they are also very happy.
You do not need to stand there 5 hours.
Be smart and get information about where is the place that less people
better view (close to moore park).
