111 y old civic got rear ended by an SUV, the insurance estimate the repair
cost will be higher than fair market value, so it is totaled. The car is
still drivable. Now my Q is: will the insurance pay me a check and do I have
to release the car to them immediately to get that check? If I need to
drive this car to buy a new one, how does the insurance handle this, are
they going to hold their check until I release the car to them?
2they will hold the check for a while. You may be able to get a rental car
for several days. Ask the insurance company.
3rent a car and insurance will pay for it, dont drive unsafe car.
