如果不去dealer的话，特别是因为两个州相隔很远，怎么比较比如购车的税，最后总的
购车价格问题？或者其实不管哪个州差别都不大？
另外在加州的话，MPG高的车，比如high way 40MPG的话，购车会有政策优惠吗？2012
Focus是欧版的，貌似highway 40MPG，而且比老的美版好不少，很诱人。 |

如果在税少的州买的话，换税多的州的牌照要补交差价

matter where you buy the car from
if you move from state A to state B with a new car, you have to pay
registration and tax difference at state B. So it'll save you a lot of
trouble to just register the car in state B to start with

What if I want to buy a new car to do cross country? :(
Doesn't the registration good for a year in a different state? They will ask
for tax then when I resgister at state B?

enforced unless you get stopped by a cop or some reason, or your neighbor
reports you.

you can get a mailing address in California and register your car with that
address

如果过了蛮久才去注册，会被罚款吗，或者要求补交sales tax?

if you use the "fee calculator" it'll tell you the additional tax you have
to pay, if any
