发帖数: 110 | 2 SUV总有侧翻的问题，但好像这几年有所改善，roof强度也增强。侧翻发生概率在降低。
感觉large suv/cuv 比mini van安全，过路口时遇到闯红灯的SUV，
large suv很高，去撞mini van的侧面，van和sedan一样低，会被撞得很惨的。
如果不差钱，还是大SUV更安全。 |

) the truck is heavier. It causes more damages to the other party. As a
result, you pay a higher insurance premium for SUV (that's the 相关的数据

一样。
但为啥truck-based SUV 比 uni-body SUV要安全？
truck-frame does not cave-in during a collision---这个是为啥？
感觉chevy traverse, GMC acadia 比 ford explorer 安全多了。 |

accord
minivan is safer than sedan because a)
the seating level in minivan is close to that of SUV, and higher than the
seating level in sedan. and b) its weight is closer to SUV and heavier than
sedan.
a frame (truck frame) is chassis made from high strength steel/metal so it
can haul/tow heavy load off road. truck-based SUV is a box build on this
frame and inherited this sturdy feature. Uni-body cars are mostly made of
sheet metal.
Traverse has partial frame (according to some Chevy forum_).

发帖数: 264 | 10 这个说的有道理.与其说MINI VAN 安全, 不如说是它对别的车来说比较安全, 没有杀伤
力.遇到碰撞和恶劣天气,MINI VAN就象笨猪一样没折.
