发帖数: 364 | 8 Just did some research, LX has ignition immobilizer, if your keys were not
stolen, thieves can only steal it by towing it. Discount for insurance only
$25/year. It's not worth it.

2 hours). You have to balance risk/benefit to determine whether it's worth
it or not.

stolen car.
Lojack helps cops find your car, but you'll have a damaged car from
accidents and at the very least with a broken steering column/ignition
harness. You then spend weeks waiting dealing with insurance company to fix
it in a bodyshop and know you'll be driving a fixed-up car and who knows
what else the thief did while in your car - drugs, sex, cigarettes...
Lojack actually helps the insurance company. Why? Because if you do not have
Lojack, your car will be considered totalled and comprehensive insurance
will pay $$$$$ for you to get a new car. I got it once and they even paid
the sales tax back. I just went ahead and got another of the same car. My
insurance premium did not rise a cent because it is not my fault (may also
because there is something like a forgiveness rule for first a couple claims
, not sure).
