the whole story on my side is:
when start the car you can heard metal grinding noise,heavy,(two things
cause such problem as I know (bad starter, or flywheel tooth off )
need to check the starter and flywheel condition.
Didn't see tooth broke on starter and flywheel. lucky for her.
mostly the starter problem, I tested it, find out the starter driver is bad.
other problem is the oil light on and off, which indicate the oil pressure
have problem in the engine.
Did a engine oil pressure test, result told me the pressure was ok. So oil
pump seem ok too,the only left was oil pressure switch. but better flush the
system.
change stater and flush oil system labor for $200 (if need replace oil pump)
she only need to pay the part.
later on, I find out the oil pressure switch need to change too.
only just little difficult to replace. it locate at the back of the engine
plus her car was too much rust, bolts and nuts are easy to crack.
I replaced a new starter, heavy noise gone, problem solved.
oil light is off after replacing the switch and flush the oil system.
I told her need add little money on the oil switch labor. plus the oil
change.(total $26 for 5Qt 5w30 plus filter) labor $20.
she willing to pay for the labor $200 only but refuse to pay for the labor
of the oil pressure switch replacement, oil and oil filter labor too. (I
really don't want to do the oil change for her car, dirty). then means I
work for free.
I solved all her car's problems, she just dose not want to pay, if I don't
solve the problem, I don't expect to get pay.
I save her $170 for oil pump part.if outside garage, for her case, pay $170
for sure.
To do such works in outside shop, she need to pay much more than I charge

the parts from store. As other ID said, the only thing Vicliyz did wrong was
not informing LZ before doing additional work.

你们也应该从车主角度考虑，车马上就卖－－－
价格没有太大问题，问题就是应该和车主商量。车主就是想修修卖了，结果你大修特修
车主当然受不了。
关于parts，我以前修车parts的receipt是直接给我的，对方把买parts的labor直接提
前告诉我加到labor算半个小时的labor。
