。我的hood被撞弯了，关上后和fence有gap。对方的保险是allstate，做了assessment
让我去找个recycle hood装上。我先前去的bodyshop说可以把变形的hood给reshape回
去。我不知道是不是recycle的part质量怎样，还是就把我原来的hood砸回原形好。大
家帮忙出个主意。谢谢。 |

发帖数: 36252 | 3 On fixing the car, you have 2 options:
A. get cash - if you do NOT want to fix the car or want to fix it cheap
and pocket the differece, get 3 free estimates from 3 different body
shops, fax them to the insurance company and ask for as much as possible
or
B. get the car fixed - send your car to good bodyshop, ask them to bill
the insurance directly. Usually insurance company recommended bodyshop
are good; avoid dealer because most dealers do not do body work, they
tow your car to a body shop nearby and charge you $2000 extra.
Call other party's insurance. demand car rental reimbursement, starting
from the day of the accident until the proprety damage claim is closed.

发帖数: 46 | 4 Allstate gave me an estimate and wrote a check to me today. So now I have
the money and I can go any bodyshop. In the estimate they gave an recycle
auto part shop and told me the bodyshop should call them and get an recycle
hood. But the bodyshop I went told me they only do reshape. If I want, I
probably have to go to those body shops in Allstate's network. |

if the check more than that, you can go to any shop. |

发帖数: 46 | 6 The check includes also the 80% paint job on bumper. So the insurance
company did not pay enough. I always think it is better to keep origianl
part when you fix your car. But I am sure if it is true in this case. |
