"The video you refer to is indeed accurate. It is not uncommon for
headrests to move significantly during high-speed frontal crash tests such
as this one. In some cases, as in the 2011 Honda Odyssey, they become
disengaged. NHTSA’s 5-star government crash ratings are based on the
probability of occupant injury to the head, neck, chest, and legs. Despite
the headrest movement, the dummy injury numbers for the front passenger’s
head and neck were still low enough that a 5-star rating was achieved." |
