tune-up grease, brake cleaner, electric cleaner. paper tape,

Spark Plug Hole Thread Chaser/restorer:
Broken Spark Plug Remover: wire puller:
brush, blow gun, clean cloth * 5,
torque wrench, ratchet, extension bar, pliers

**process
engine cool
check new spark plug defect (cracks in the body), gap and adjust
remove the screws and detach the spark plug cover from the valve cover.
paper tape paste to mark wire sequence. pen to write number on tape, cap
(both side)
remove the coil mounting bolts and remove the coil/plug wire assembly.
twist the boot half a turn and pull the boot free.
Angle (Long Reach Needle) Plier to pull out wire. one time one wire to
avoid confuse.
mark sequence with tape on both side of wire, and disconnect the wire
from the distributor cap.
check wire. check inside the boot for corrosion, a white crusty powder.
check the resistance of wire < maximum of specification.
brake cleaner wash wire off oil. electric cleaner for wire, and check
clean dirt around to protect engine from dirt, brush and blow. small
hose for blow small, hard reach place.
turn counterclockwise with long extension socket to remove plug火花塞的
torque 是 18 lbs-ft, 但下旧的时候，绝对得用很大的力道，如果接个extention bar

不了会有往一边倒的力，很容易把瓷的那部分给cei了。我的六个旧的，cei了仨。吓得

上 anti-sieze。
拆后应用净布塞住火花塞座孔。
compare the old plug with the last page of to check
engine condition.
compare the new plug with old plug to check fit.
apply a small amount of anti-seize to the threads. be careful not to get
any near the electrodes.
attach the coil/plug wire to the new plug using a twisting motion until
it is firmly seated on the end of the plug.
火花塞螺纹旋入长度应与缸盖安装孔螺纹长度相适应，不允许旋入过长或过短。
安装时，不得漏装或多装密封垫片
tighten to correct torque
"try" reinstall boot to the plug. should fit tightly onto the end of the
plug. If not, remove the wire and use pliers to carefully crimp the
metal connector inside the boot.
unplug, apply dielectric grease to plug wire boot and reinstall boot
clean Distributor Cap and rotor
detach the distributor cap by removing the two retaining screws.
pull the rotor off the distributor shaft.
check both for cracks, carbon tracks, worn, burned, loose contacts.
code 0170, 0173都可以由于vacume leak 导致。这边漏了气，MAF当然不准了。 | n****e
