，但就怕盘山公路上有积雪，本来就有8。 5小时的路程，如果路不好，可能最后要开
两天，关系也不是很大，可以在中间住一个晚上，就怕盘山公路冬天不安全，周围的人
都说他们是不会冒险开车的

friends and colleagues all said that they will not risk to drive. there is
snow in both NC and lexington in winter, i will definitely avoid snowing day
, but don't know if there will still be much snow in the mountain road.

我的唯一经验就是 温度低于-10C的时候 车持续的开也不能融化玻璃水 得上防冻的那种
可怜我对着毛玻璃开了一天 下了高原进入NE才把玻璃水化开

肯定比平时要多一些风险，我11月初刚开了这个来回，都觉得盘山公路很弯曲，有点后
怕。更别说是冬天。我要在再想想。

is much easier than lots of places. |

Most time freeways from KY to NC are in pretty good shape. Just slow down
when you drive through the mountain areas. Take a break every one or two
hours and play with your kids. It should be fun trip.
If there is winter storm with lots of snow for the time you want to travel,
you may need to change your schedule. |

if there is much snow or storm, i will definitely not travel. the problem is
firstly, is it easy to drive from NC to kentucky through the montain areas
in winter even without snow or rain (i will only drive on days lots of
sunshine), the second is that even if it is easy for me to drive to KY in
the end of Dec (assume the weather is good and no snow), i still have to
drive back to NC by the end of Jan, but it is possible that by that time, it
snows everyday in KY and I even can't get one shiny day to drive back! will
it happen?????

sometimes i want to save money by driving, sometimes i think safety is more
important than money, that is why i post here to see if it is risk or safe
to drive. if not in winter, i am comfortable to drive.

small drops of snow! and you may also have better cars with better tyres! I
never start my engine when there is even just a little bit snow in the past!
