发帖数: 102 | 1 最近看到一个二手车的广告，看起来很不错，3年新，只有三千多miles。后来询问了才
知道是个Broker在卖。大家有从Broker买车的经验么？
后来去看了下车，也带了个挺懂车的哥们一起。车确实很新，车子本身看不出什么问题
。那个Broker说他的车源一般是从保险公司来的或银行收回。他也给我看了这车的
Autocheck报告。
Autocheck报告上看到这车本来是邻州的。一开始是到了租车行/leasing company，然
后就被偷了，然后title转到保险公司下，两年多后车被recover，后来就是这个Broker
买进来了，title在他名下。这个Broker说因为这样所以这车这么低mileage。
想问一下，这车这样的经历靠谱么？可能会有什么问题呢？跟这种Broker打交道要注意
什么？
另外，这Broker一直强调他的title是clean title。但这样被报失过的车不都是
Salvaged/total loss么，怎么他还能说是clean title呢？
第一次买二手车，没有什么经验。希望有经验的多多指教。
另外，想询问一下有什么好的网站可以查车价的。我只知道Kelly Blue Book和edmunds
.com，但这两个总给出不同的价钱。KBB和edmunds这两个哪个比较好啊？或还有什么网
站更好的？多谢了。 |

normally people only use a broker if they are trying to buy an antique car
or exotic/rare car.
normal people like you and me don't use a broker.
i think you can easily achieve the same result if you do your homework
before buying a car; why give a few hundred dollars to a broker?
I've hear bad things about brokers. an example, there is a broker on Long Island who's got a lot bmw cars, those cars were bought cheap at auctions and they jack up the price before selling to consumer.
as long as you check 'carfax' and know a thing or 2 about car basics, you should be fine to buy a car w/o a broker. |

发帖数: 102 | 5 I think you misread my original post. I'm not paying a broker to buy a car for me. I'm on my own.
What I was asking is I saw an ad for a car, and that car is being sold by a broker. Thus, if I want to buy that car, I have to deal with this broker. And the price for the car this broker listed seems very reasonable, even a bit lower, when comparing to KBB and edmunds.com numbers.
