发帖数: 368 | 4 yes, there is tax benefit from trade-in.
I am not quite sure about the effective of more trade-in than downpay, but
my impression is that, the trade-in will lower the capitalization of the car
, and thus lower the monthly payment if you do not ask for a check.
For example, if a car worth 20k, and your trade-in is 5k and required down
pay is 3k, you only borrowed 15k from the dealer and the dealer should
recalculate your monthly payment to compensate for that difference, then
plus ttl based on the reduced amount.

tax...
bad thing about big downpayment is that u may loose all of it if you totaled
the car or it lost...
better to do a multiple security deposit to lower interest rate.. |
