，对RV camping 有了基本的了解，早早得规划了这次Trip, 整个行程大概2000迈左
右，因为晚上休息的好，我一个人全程开下来；LD负责俩孩子的起居，房车准备清洁，
我则主要负责开车，房车setup，景点规划，做饭。
片片上先，品味及摄影技术有限，大家轻拍。RV camping总结在后
The full loop：
Day 1 & 2：Full hookup @ Larrabee State Park, WA
头两天在Larrabee State Park和四户邻居一起camping， 两户RV，两户tent，共七个
小孩，年龄都非常接近，平时也都一起玩，所以玩得很好。小孩子们一起骑车，hiking
，到海边看日落，晚上烧篝火，a lot of fun。家里有娃的，大家真的可以一起组织一
起camping，小朋友们一定喜欢。
BTW，一邻居是骑车过去的，七小时，猛男一个。

Day 3: Dry camping at Jasper Snaring
到Jasper公园入口处，被告知主要RV site都满了，在Snaring有很大的Overflow RV
camping site.

Day 4: Columbia Icefield

在哥伦比亚冰川下camping是这次旅途中最令人难忘的，当时开到冰川公园是已是黄昏
，centre已关闭，没几个人，这跟第二天白天人山人海形成鲜明对比。Setup好RV，起
风了很冷，躲到自己的小房车里，做个饭，一家人其乐融融。
酒饱饭足，躺在床上看着夕阳下的哥伦比亚冰川，想想来美这十多年的经历，颇多感慨。
Day 5, 6, 7: Lake Louise
Day 5 dry camping
Day 6, 7, electric hook up
Day 8: Calgary
有同学在卡尔加里，早上看了一百周年牛仔节游行，下午去看了恐龙博物馆，小朋友们
都很喜欢。那天晚上住在同学家
Day 9: Banff, camping at Yahk provincial park, 10 km to US border.
Banff Town很商业化，人很多。Banff Town附近景色相对其它国家公园来说，山水很一
般很一般，和国内的
旅游景点很类似。我和LD都觉得有些失望，小孩子也觉得无聊，很多时间都耗在排队等
缆车和公车上，不值。
一对老年夫妇的房车，车龄刚好和我同年。
Day 10: Back home

总的来说，这次的RV camping非常顺利，北美的RV的配套设施很完善，在路上RV也非常
的多，1800-RV4Rent 这公司RV租赁很popular，到处都是。
我觉着RV旅游最大的便利套用路上看来得RV广告就是Vacation at your own pace, 这
对于有两小娃的家庭来说太重要了。不用赶时间，不用找宾馆，餐馆，有自己干净的卫
生间。
我个人比较喜欢Dry camping, 快停快走，非常便利。需要时在补充水，ｄｕｍｐ。 |

Japser漂亮很多。Lake Louise是banff的一部分，columbia icefield在banff和jasper
的交界处，
Moraine Lake不知道你去了没？
坐缆车的位置其实是泡温泉和买纪念品的地方。

和hiking poles在里面hike 了10天，走了不少trail，真是无限风光。在Columbia
icefield 特地没选那个冰川车，听说开上去 15min 就下来了，不过瘾。后来选了
guided icewalk tour，全副武装在那个最大的glacier 上面hike 了三个半小时
对于这种超大公园，RV 是好，走哪停哪，免去往返开车。俺们每天还是要从旅馆开出
，不免走重复的路。下次考虑租RV 了 |

Lake Louise那一带是我们呆的最久的,3夜2天,Moraine Lake 和 Lake Louise都有大半
天，还在 Lake Louise上划了canoe。
的却，Banff National Park是景点最集中的。

As long as a SUV having tow package installed, it should be able to town
bambi since its
GVWR is only 3500lbs
I didn't rent before, so I can't comment about RV renting.

With the proper setup, it's safe to tow. There is no special licence needed
to tow RV.
The most trick part is to backup .

There are some info you need to check for the site such as water, electric,
dump, pull through etc.
it's very easy once you have tried RV camping a few times, it's easier than
locating motel and resturants.

$10-16 for dry camping;
$25-$38 if there is electric; Water, dump and electric are all covered.
瑞士景虽好,但北美是RV最好的地方.

unless you have a diesel puller. You auto transmission will over worked and
heated for extended period of time. The auto tranny will need service or
rebuilt sooner. No matter what you do, it will cost more to you. If you
really enjoy pulling a mobile home, do rent near your destination during the
trip. I would suggest rent one mobile home or RV near
the rocky mountain area and thus save you a lot money. |

We did see some retired people in RV camping site but not many, a lot more
are young family with little kids indeed.
Each SUV with towing capability already addressed all your concerns, such
as transmission cooling, even sway control etc.
As long as you didn't exceed the car spec and have proper setup, it's save
to town for both of you and your car, no matter diesel and petrol.
diesel usually have high low torque comparing to the same class of gas
engine, it has advantage to start from the stop, but the torque decreased
quickly in high speed, there is little difference driving in highway for the
workload of your transmission, especially for some powerful gas engine, and
petrol engine is more pleasant for daily commute. Besides, we are not
supposed to tow everyday, do we?
In our own experience, it's really piece of cake to tow in Rocky mountains,
sometime you might forget there is trailer behind.
Rent or buy, mobile home or RV, these are really personal preference, no
comments here.
