beach, 估计版上去过的不多，分享一下。
网上简介：
"Just south of the Virginia border, this fourteen-mile stretch of beach is
collectively known as, "The 4x4 Beaches." There are no paved roads, no shops
and no restaurants. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is required, as you must
actually drive on the beach to access vacation homes. This uncomplicated
area is made up of dense maritime forests, marshy soundside coves and
protected nature preserves. Home to the wild horses of Currituck County, the
extraordinary possibility of catching a glimpse of these unique creatures
is practically commonplace.
One of the last and least developed areas of the Outer Banks, homes range
greatly in size, available amenities and cost. This unique coastal area is
the perfect vacation spot for those seeking a more adventurous getaway."
NC 政府以前说要修路的，所以那一带建了很多vacation house，最终路没修成，索性
变成4x4 beach, 要想住那里的vacation house，必须要有4驱车。结果变成vacation
胜地，游人乐此不彼。
Outer banks 狭长的岛屿可能上下有100mile。上端是4x4, 中间部分不可以上beach，
集中了旅馆餐馆，下半段cape hatteras national seashore,其实也可以开车上beach
，但是要买permit。那里的beach 很wild，基本上以钓鱼居多
4x4 beach 上基本还是jeep, 美式大卡车SUV的天下，但看到的highlander， pilot 也
不少，还看到rav4, murano 之类，当然还有Subaru. 靠近水的beach 比较湿硬，
crossover 是可以上去的。整个outer banks 是俺见到4runner最密集的地方，3，4，5
代随处可见，尤其5代真多。去了两次，没见到一个BMW，好像也没见MB。Audi 不少。
俺在beach 上full time 和part time 4WD 都用了，不锁中差也没啥问题但后来都是锁
着的，trac control 只响了两三次，在deep sand 里，响几下就开出去了。胎压说是
要降到15psi，俺嫌麻烦，只降到25psi。
