我绝对没有违规，也没有什么“不让行人”，所以觉得莫名其妙，非常冤枉，打电话问
，说要么交罚款，要么上法庭。我打算上法庭，但是没有证据，怎么办？另外，上法庭
，有什么要注意的吗？

发帖数: 147 | 7 Welcome to NJ. If you search JHQ, you will find an article from a few years
ago about how shitty NJ traffic court/cops is. Basically the state has been
trying to get $200-300 from everyone by issuing stupid tickets like the one
you just got. Let me explain it to you: the ticket you got probably carries
points--anywhere from 2 to 5 according to NJ traffic law. Of course you can
just plea guilty and pay for it; but if you decide to appeal in the court,
the prosecutor will present you a "deal" before you see the judge, which is
commonly known as "97.2" or "Unsafe Operation": you'd be exempted for
2points but you need to pay an extra $250 ON TOP OF your penalty on the
ticket for it.
My recent experience attending NJ traffic court is it's very hard to dismiss
tickets in NJ unlike many other people wrote on this board in other states.
I went to the court in Edgewater last week for a $85/2pts ticket and only
one lady
successfully fought off her parking ticket that day(she got the ticket while
dropping off her daughter when someone told her it is OK to park outside
the daycare) while everyone else basically just plea guilty and paid the
fine. Some of them probably took the 97.2 "deal" cuz they already had too
many points on their license(if you accumulate 6pts, NJ MVC will send you an
annual $150 invoice for three years); some of them didn't like me cuz I had
a very clean driving record and I could attend some defensive driving
program to drop the 2pts.
I'm not saying you shouldn't fight the ticket--actually you should by all
means. Just wanna share my experience and knowledge of this corrupted system
