随便找了家yelp上口碑不错的body shop, 最赚的就是这body shop了,
我这新车记录上有了事故, resale value不知道得亏多少, 一分钱也拿不到,
就是把车修得看起来和以前差不多, 实际都属于返修件了.
没想到的是, 原以为只是外壳, bumper什么的修修补补, 当时只拍了外面的照片,
没注意引擎盖里面.
今天打开引擎盖, 和以前见到的完全不一样. 应该是body shop把我的几个塑料的
engine cover什么的给卸了拿走了.
这马上都冬天了, 也不会怕散热什么的, body shop拿我engine cover干嘛呢?
我担心不会我新的engine给换了吧?这个有可能吗?
下午准备先去找body shop把engine cover要回来.
有人能帮分析下里面的门道吗? 只是修外面的bumper什么的, 为什么要动我引擎盖里面?
有没有可能动了引擎或有关的东西?

make the DIY more complex, so that ordinary vehicle owners wouldn't dare to
operate under the hood. The biggest use of it is to prevent excessive noise
and dust, etc. In terms of vehicle performance or safety, engine cover does
not contribute much at all. On the contrary to what you thought, an engine
without engine cover may function better and avoid the potential of overheat.
Above being said, it was irresponsible for the body shop to not being able
to install the engine cover pieces back. It's their problem and you should
be able to get all the parts back and have them installed. If not, I think
you issue formal complaints to their managers and even BBB.
