h**********r 发帖数: 2284 | 1 I was quite surprised to my findings about 0-60 acceleration for BMW 328i vs
328xi and 335i vs 335xi. Thus I need to post it here as a separate topic.
"After some research, I found there's no difference at all between 328i vs
xDrive in 2014 models in 0-60 acceleration: both 5.7 seconds.
For 335, xDrive is actually faster than regular 335i by about 0.1 second.
Originally, I assumed xDrive might be a bit slower given the power loss on
AWD transmission; but in reality, xDrive is faster in 0-60 for 335i and tie
with 328i!" | o*******y 发帖数: 1076 | 2 四驱0~60更快难道不是正常的吗?四个轮子,有更好的traction | r*******0 发帖数: 479 | 3 大概是车静止时四轮同时发力要比两轮冒烟打滑要给力,同理Subaru车总是0-60比较快
,在同样马力下。 | h**********r 发帖数: 2284 | 4 AWD/4WD are not normally faster than their RWD counter part. According to
the following chart. In fact, in some years the xi model is faster, but in
other model years, it may be slower.

My impression was that due to (1) the power/torque loss from the driving
axles to the front axle and (2) more weight for xi than i, AWD accelerates
slower than RWD. And this actually holds true in most situations - not very
normal as you claim. I know 335xi is faster due to the benefit of the
traction (thanks to more weight) overweighting the power/torque loss. But I
didn't know this holds true as well for 328xi.
