2 dead, 2 seriously injured in head-on collision on SR 522 near Maltby

A woman who was a passenger in a Ford Fusion was killed immediately, the
State Patrol said. The driver of that car, a man, died later at the hospital

2 people killed in Maltby collision identified
The two people who died in a two-car collision on state Highway 522 near
Maltby, Snohomish County, on Monday were identified this morning as Redmond
residents Joan S. Kinger, 76, and Stanley Kinger, 79.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the Kingers were headed west on
522 around 3:15 p.m. when an eastbound Mitsubishi Eclipse crossed the center
line and collided with the Kingers’ Ford Fusion.
Police said the driver of the Eclipse, 24-year-old Gerardo Martinez-Urrutia
of Monroe, had drifted onto the right shoulder of the highway east of Fales
Road, hit a construction barrel and then overcorrected and crossed the
center line.
Martinez-Urrutia and a 1-year-old girl in the car with him were taken to
Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center with critical injuries, according to
the State Patrol.
Joan Kinger was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Stanley
Kinger died at the hospital, police said.
The collision resulted in the closure of the stretch of 522 in both
directions for almost four hours.

发帖数: 249 | 14 我因为Fusion没现货改买了日本车。但说句公道话，Fusion在本次事故中的确表现好一
点，死人是因为年纪太大了。就像一阵大风吹来，把我家院子里头老树扳倒一样，众多
生命力强的依然茂盛。
我以前定了几年汽车杂志，貌似三菱各款车从来都是垫底或者接近垫底的。销量似乎也
很有限。
个例不代表普遍。所有销售的车都是合格的。 |
